The Social Media Manager will primarily be responsible for developing and directing the overall planning, management, coordination, and execution of social strategy and content, for @UNIQLOUSA organic social platforms while closely collaborating with the eCommerce, PR and Marketing teams. Primary channels include Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest and Facebook. The Social Media Manager will own the creation and management of social calendars that support weekly business and brand priorities. The manager will also work with cross functional teams to create locally relevant content, source UGC, and create new asset formats with creative.
Regular connection with Japan Headquarters is important for sharing best practices and utilizing globally produced assets. The position will need to have a deep understanding of UNIQLO brand DNA and our LifeWear positioning to ensure on-brand social execution.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, creative, detail-oriented strategic people manager with a strong understanding of platforms and trends in the digital landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative ways to activate our audience on social media
- Work with influencer agency to establish and manage scalable processes for recruiting, managing, tracking and analyzing influencers.
- Create playbooks and toolkits leveraging best practices that widen the reach and increase engagement
- Analyze and report social channel and activation performance to quantify the effectiveness of campaigns and drive scalable learnings
- Work with cross functional teams to create social calendar and ensure all postings are aligned with total business plan and important brand messages.
- Address key interests for respective channels and tailor content to be most relevant for platform.
- Stay up-to-date on industry and cultural trends to align social and digital strategy with broader marketing and partnership initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing and/or consumer community development across digital channel
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically; comfortable doing both kinds of work
- Ability to think big and propose innovative strategies to maximize reach and engagement
- Solid understanding of social media and content performance metrics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for building social communities
- Strong conceptual design skills with knowledge on products, brand, design, graphics and concept inspiration.
