Job Title: Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer or Intern)

This position reports to: Immigrant Harbor Secretary

mission is to be a one-stop shop for new immigrants by providing them with essential Summary: The Social Media Coordinator will assist with managing Immigrant Harbor’s social media accounts. This will includes creating, scheduling, and posting content as well as tracking the performance of posts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage the social media calendar

· Create and schedule posts ahead of time if possible

· Create and promote events as appropriate

· Engage in paid social media campaigns and monitor results

· Monitor partners’ social media accounts for relevant content that can be shared

· Assist with website related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be reliable and professional

· Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented

· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

· Must have some experience working with social media

· Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Some college or college degree preferred.

· Bilingual (Portuguese or Spanish) is a plus

· Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus

Time commitment & Location

· Five hours a week (hours are flexible). The ideal candidate would be able to commit for 6 months, but this position could also turn into a summer internship position for the right candidate.

· Remote position.

Training and support

The Secretary will provide training for this position and will be available for support.
