Job Description:

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for all marketing projects and lead our company’s marketing efforts. As a successful Director, you will be responsible for providing guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing tasks, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company’s brands. You will work closely with our Business Development, Development, and Operations departments, to develop and execute a marketing strategy that will help us maximize profits and market share.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute a marketing strategy and manage the overall marketing budget to achieve our company growth objectives for social media, tournament participation, platform sign-ups, website, email marketing and monetization of the FirstBlood.io platform
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all social media and marketing efforts
  • Research competitors and develop our competitive advantage for our platform
  • Clearly identify opportunities for growth for our events and monetization strategies
  • Build and maintain marketing reports for revenue, social media engagement/following, user acquisition, paid media ROI, SEO, and influencer marketing ROI
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver and optimize the marketing strategy
  • Represent both partner & FirstBlood needs in communication with both internal and external teams throughout the execution of marketing and all company initiatives
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop the existing team and develop a long term plan for the marketing team structure and growth of the department
  • Develop and execute overall brand strategy and properly share the Firstblood narrative for both business to business and business to consumer relationships
  • Prepare and maintain marketing reports to present to leadership & stakeholders

Additional:

  • Act as the main point of contact for various activations and marketing partnerships
  • Use key platform data points to make informed decisions on planning regular and special events, including holiday tournaments and activations
  • Have a working knowledge of each of the games on platform
  • Work with internal and external creators to refresh marketing creatives as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of marketing experience
  • Management experience (Startup is a plus)
  • A strong understanding of esports/gaming with demonstrated success growing a creator ecosystem
  • Consistent demonstrated success crafting brand strategy utilizing analytics to evaluate brand performance and opportunities
  • Experience leading end to end customer lifecycle marketing teams
