NitroC is seeking a Senior Strategy Director to join our independent, integrated advertising agency. The Strategy Director will play an integral role and will help lead brand strategy and brand planning efforts for omnichannel planning, advertising, digital, social, and integrations across our client roster.
The Strategy Director will work closely with account, creative and media teams and partner with brands to better understand their challenges, uncover new opportunities and develop strategies to help grow their business. Strategy Director will define target segments and uncover the cultural and market forces that shape their mindset.
You should be curious and turn research into actionable and inspiring strategies that create meaningful impact with consumers to grow brans. You are as much data-driven as you are passionate about the goings-on’s in culture, entertainment, sports, and fashion. You seamlessly work with multidisciplinary teams to champion and push clients toward transformative work with meaningful results.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic leader for clients
- Work with department leads across accounts with omnichannel mindset to develop strategic vision and briefs that provide critical intel for clients and inspire category shaping ideas
- Partner with creative teams – helping to guide and inspire them at every touchpoint – from brief development to briefing to ideation and execution
- Perform research and analytics, identify data gaps, develop hypotheses, and shape a comprehensive view to impact consumer behavior
- Thorough and thoughtful analysis of business, category, consumer and cultural trends that highlights opportunities for clients’ businesses and inform strategic output
- Translate data into inspiring insights and actionable strategies – responsible for development of briefs, narratives and frameworks for brands
- Lead strategic discussions in Client meetings as well as internal presentations and brainstorm sessions
- Create solid partnerships internally and with Clients with superior professionalism
- Develop future thinking cultural trend presentations. Always be on the forefront of culture – identifying societal and industry trends that will affect our clients and their consumers
- Identify new creative ideas and trends across advertising, marketing, strategy, and culture (tech, food, entertainment, sports, and music)
- This role will also support the senior department leads in shaping insights and strategies, as well as furthering thought-leadership both internally and externally
- Be a team player. Show initiative on where you can add value throughout projects and across various teams. Look for new opportunities where strategy can play a pivotal role
Ideal Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of Strategy experience in advertising, branding, marketing; previous agency experience is highly regarded
- Demonstrable research knowledge - working with both primary and secondary research as well as qualitative and quantitative methodologies/data
- Is familiar and comfortable with a broad range of approaches for building brands including customer journey, audience segmentation, communications/connections planning, social media, influencer marketing, etc.
- Have a proven track record of success leading innovative strategies and translating insights into inspiring briefs and brand roadmaps
- Ability to distill broad data points into concise strategic and creative opportunities
- Be comfortable with public speaking and exhibit strong presentation abilities
- Strong PowerPoint expertise
- Capable of managing and working on multiple projects within tight deadlines
- Be curious, with a thirst for understanding human behavior and the influences that shape consumer choices
