The QYOU is looking for a full time LA-based Post Production Assistant Editor to join our growing, award-winning Influencer Marketing team. At The QYOU we harness the power of creators and their communities for world-class influencer marketing / social media campaigns for leading brands and clients such as Paramount, Lionsgate, CAPCOM, Universal Dreamworks, Sony, and many more.

As Post Production Assistant Editor, you will be responsible for editing brand channel posts, influencer videos across multiple campaigns, and B2B marketing materials for QYOU. You will work closely with internal teams to support content and production requirements during both pre and post sale of a campaign, and report to the Content & Production Manager, and VP of Content & Creative.

The ideal candidate will have basic editorial experience in social media / digital video, an understanding of basic storytelling and pacing, and an eagerness to learn about influencer marketing content and creative. Candidates for this position are highly motivated, adaptable, self-assured team players with strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role requiring attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and ongoing projects within various stages of campaign execution.

*Please note that we are currently working remotely, but some editorial work will happen in the office depending on project content security requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Editing social video posts for influencer marketing campaigns and associated brand channels.
  • Editing sizzle reels for our website and other marketing materials
  • Assist with editorial for mock videos for every campaign
  • Updating and maintaining the internal campaign execution calendar with key deadlines, and being able to communicate key dates to team members.
  • Researching and organizing potential talent and trending format lists for campaign proposals and executions.
  • Organize footage and assets with the editorial team and follow security protocol for sensitive assets from third parties / clients.
  • Stay current on ongoing changes of major social platforms (e.g., posting specs, best practices) and their potential impact on creative deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of graphic and video editing - Final Cut Pro is a must
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and DropBox
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 0-3 years of experience. Must be a quick learner and not be afraid to ask questions or for help
  • Interest in entertainment (film, tv, gaming) and basic industry knowledge.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Hands-on production or live event coordination experience is a major plus.
  • Basic knowledge of content creation and development processes and/or social media marketing on social platforms, especially TikTok.
