Internship Purpose & Role
The Folden Lane Internship cultivates the personal & professional growth of our interns through meaningful immersion. As an intern you will gain valuable knowledge & hands-on experience, learning the inner-workings of building a brand, working across key areas of the business.
As a Social Media & Influencer Marketing intern, you will assist the Director of Brand Partnerships & larger team in executing day-to-day tasks including: influencer management duties (gifting and identifying new talent), analyzing social media performance, assisting with organic social content and brainstorming new concepts to test, managing of marketing calendars and data tracking spreadsheets and more. You will learn about the home storage & organization industry through the lens of entrepreneurship, omni-channel retail, sustainability, marketing, partnerships & brand-building.
You will have the opportunity to attend and also co-lead meetings with teams including marketing, PR, operations, brand/creative, product development, and more. At the end of your internship you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of all these areas of the business work together & the amount learned will not be measurable.
This is a paid internship that could lead into a full-time opportunity upon the completion of the program.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support Director of Brand Partnerships with tasks including:
- Seeding gift products to influencers, trade partners and brand ambassadors
- Identifying new influencers and like-minded brands to partner with
- Researching new trends, products, and inspiration relevant to our social media platforms
- Analyzing social media performance and come up with actionable insight to improve community engagement
- Daily maintenance of our owned social channels (Instagram, Tiktok) such as updating social product shops
- Maintaining and updating internal data & partner tracking in spreadsheets
- Assisting with creative asset creation, editing/reformatting, curation & publishing
- This intern will learn how to develop one retail social media marketing strategy, with a focus on future capabilities within the digital marketing landscape
Education & Required Skills
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Marketing, Communications, or Business as a rising college senior
- Must be creative, entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, organized, highly curious, ambitious
- Passionate about home storage & organization/décor, sustainability & social impact, retail & marketing
- Obsessed with all thing social media, branding & partnerships
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Canva Wizard
Work Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
