Who We Are

The Crew League is a next-generation digital entertainment property where celebrities and their "crews" face off against each other in a first-of-its-kind, unscripted sports competition series. TCL features top talent in music, sports, Hollywood, and social media designed for Gen-Z and Millennial consumer consumption. To date, TCL has released 3 incredibly successful seasons, tallying over 70M Total Views & 1.8B Impressions. We are now preparing for our Season 4 & beyond, where we will continue being a leader in the disruption of the alternative sports programming space.

Job Brief

We are looking for a talented social media manager to administer The Crew League’s Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook & Tiktok accounts. You will be responsible for repurposing/generating original text and video content, managing posts, and responding/engaging with followers & top accounts. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively and impactfully. We also expect you to have strong knowledge of the sports/music/entertainment industry news and trends.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence, ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

Location: New York City or Los Angeles based

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day social media accounts of the TCL
  • Manage the day-to-day social media voice for the TCL official accounts during filming, episodic release cycle, and between seasons
  • Assist in the development and execution of standards for the voice and tone for major projects, including brand application, personality, usage, social media voice, tone, etc.
  • Generate and find User Generated Content for use to distribute on TCL platforms and partner platforms
  • Research, plan and propose tactics and strategies for social and digital campaigns across all platforms, including emerging platforms
  • Develop strategy to grow performance based on KPIs
  • Monitor and assess social media dashboards and reports to identify and address points for improvement
  • Monitor social media trends, including developments in design, applications, best practices, strategy, and innovation to stay relevant and effective
  • Develop and create content ideas to support partnership pitches and renewals with creative development
  • Meet and execute contractual branded content requirements for partners
  • Execute programming as appropriate that reflects the TCL’s overall objectives and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the TCL Sales and Partnerships teams to develop social and editorial campaigns to reach target audiences through organic and paid social media content, influencer campaigns, and media distribution
  • Oversee, manage and grow team of Digital Coordinators, Designers, and Associates

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven experience in social media and/or digital marketing
  • In-depth understanding of the Sports/Music/Entertainment landscape is required
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch, TikTok, etc.), their unique audiences, emerging platforms, and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing efforts
  • Previous experience with entertainment and sports-focused platforms and/or brands is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of analytics software, content management systems, and SEO tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to think outside the box and articulate “big ideas”
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Copywriting experience preferred
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva is preferred; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & video editing is a plus
