Social Media Manager

Position Summary:
We are looking for a social media guru who excels at cultivating social media followings and promoting clients brands. This role will analyze engagement data, identify trends in customer interactions, lead social content strategy and development, and plan digital campaigns to build communities online.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary client contact providing strategic counsel and owning weekly client status calls
- Shape career development for members of the team through management and hands-on mentorship
- Management of social strategy across key social media channels (e.g., Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram, Reddit)
- Develop social strategies including competitor analysis, content pillars, platform roles, brand voice, tool research and recommendations, and community management protocols
- Oversee content development process from start to finish working independently, as well as with copywriters and designers.
- Ensure content is adapted for distinct brand voices, audiences, platform styles, and is optimized for SEO
- Be the subject matter expert for all things social media and content-related, educating our clients and partners on best practices, technical possibilities, and audience trends
- Think strategically about client’s goals, tapping into your deep understanding of the space to plan successful campaigns and build your brand as an expert who has a finger on the pulse of our industry
- Drive relationships forward with our clients and partners, effectively communicating the status of projects, campaign results, and business opportunities
- Develop measurement and reporting plan, manage weekly and/or monthly reporting, and make strategic recommendations based on the data to clients
- Stay on top of the latest social media trends and platform updates and evaluate how changes can/will affect our clients’ social strategies
Prerequisites
- Proficient in Meltwater
- Understanding of content distribution channels for B2B and B2C brands and their associated metrics, specs, best practices, and requirements including media outlets, social media platforms, and ad platforms
- Expertise in and enthusiasm for social media and community building online, including in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, market trends, best practices, content development and metrics, and tools of the trade
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in social media
- Proven competency in taking client needs and creating successful social media strategies and campaigns
- Previous proven experience managing content and copy for a range of online mediums
- Strong creative writing, researching, and editing skills
- Willingness to handle executional work like ongoing content development and community management
- Flexibility and comfort working with a remote team in a fast-paced, always-on, agency/start-up environment and schedule
- Superb project and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining constant communication with larger team and clients

- Experience managing large-scale community management/social monitoring programs
- Background developing, managing, and optimizing paid social campaigns

- Influencer marketing experience
- Broader content marketing experience
- Fintech and/or blockchain experience
- Expertise with enterprise level social media platforms such as Sprout Social and Sprinklr
