About the role:
The Director of Communications will elevate the Power Digital brand through strategic communications, press, social media, and client engagement to drive awareness and interest among key stakeholders, ranging from existing & prospective clients, partners, existing & future talent, press, analysts, sponsors, award publishers, PE firms, holding companies and industry groups.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the industry space and provide the marketing and executive team with competitive intelligence, pinpointing what Power Digital can do with set insights to enhance our business.
- Define priority executives and channel experts that will be elevated in the market.
- Build the executive visibility strategy, developing bios, editorial angles based on focus areas, channel strategy & cadence, and define & execute activation opportunities (for example, placing speakerships, bylines, panels etc).
- Thoughtfully prepare the executive team for media opportunities/speakerships, etc in an easily consumable way.
- Strategically manage, challenge and guide the PR agency to elevate the Power Digital brand, our stories, Nova, and respective business priorities, ranging from case studies to executive visibility (thought leadership, speakerships etc).
- Manage crisis opportunities in partnership with the executive team and PR agency.
- Develop the buyer engagement strategy to identify how Power Digital can build and maintain relationships with our target buyers (eg the development of executive events/roundtables).
- Continuously develop strategic executive visibility and marketing angles (in partnership with the Marketing Director).
- Report out on communications milestones and results (qual and quant), including share of voice.
- Define and set up tools that will be used by marketing in partnership with the Marketing Director (overall PM tools, media subscriptions, core data sources Power Digital needs to be a part of).
- Oversee the Communications Manager and their respective initiatives, including building a powerful social media content & activation strategy, webinars, and an internal communication strategy.

Role outcomes:
- Ability to respond to real time market triggers and industry changes.
- A pulse on how people are talking about Power Digital and its competitors.
- Notable press in target outlets, properly leveraged cross channel for strategic placement (eg to analysts, clients, prospects etc).
- Executive team and certain channel SMEs to be seen as experts in their respective space to support the sales engine and market positioning.
- Nurtured executive relationships to support sales.
- Engaged staff through a strong internal communications program.
KPIs:
- Quality press hits and bylines
- Strategic opportunities brought to Power Digital based on relationships/ability to manage relationships through agency, press, etc
- Executive and SME sentiment (measurement approach to be defined)
- Employee engagement (measurement approach to be defined)
Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in strategic communications through execution, including compelling storytelling, reporting and all other channels mentioned above.
- Experience working with clients at an agency or consulting firm.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects across workstreams.
- Passionate about Communications and stakeholder engagement and energized to think big with the ability to mobilize big ideas into execution and measurement.
- Proactive go - getter.

- Voracious reader of current events and news, with the ability to synthesize information and reframe what it is, why it matters, and how we can apply ideas to Power Digital.
