Amazon’s Fashion Marketing team is seeking a highly organized, creative and self-directed Social Media Manager to define, manage and scale content strategy across our rapidly growing social media channels including TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. The individual in this role thinks big to activate innovative campaigns leveraging current social media trends and talent, dives deep to gather evolving customer and channel insights and data to inform written strategy of executional approaches that elevate brand perception, and defines measurable KPIs to optimize performance, meeting business goals across Fashion product and program categories. As a member of our team, they are responsible for building highly effective partnerships with our internal creative, marketing and influencer teams well as external resources and agencies to raise the creative and performance bar while daily maintaining a steady stream of innovative content from our social handles.

This candidate will be a subject matter expert for social channels within the team and regularly be asked to provide their point-of-view, calling on their organic and paid social experience and expertise. This critical team member will demonstrate strong ownership, strategic thinking, and maintain clear and concise communication across leadership levels. They are an excellent problem solver, identifying trade-offs while anticipating and managing potential blockers to achieve goals with a comprehensive understanding of the creative development process across strategic and tactical planning, creative concept development/execution and KPI measurement phases.

The Social Media Manager will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, pushing partners to raise the creative and performance bar. They clearly define experimental creative approaches and lean into success, provide ongoing channel-specific insights, manage multiple end-to end creative workflows, and proactively provide thoughtful solutions to changing needs. This candidate is a self-starter and leader with meticulous attention to detail and the proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

  • Independently creates and executes measurable strategies with clear KPIs to meet varying objectives; inclusive of brand perception, driving product discovery and purchase consideration via social media channels and partnerships (e.g. influencers and publishers)
  • Maintains deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis and ownership of data touchpoints
  • Regularly contributes and presents strategy, learnings and recommendations to senior leadership via meetings and document writing
  • Develops, owns and executes toward goals and performance metrics for social handles; uses critical understanding of historical data, effectiveness, strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement; reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Identifies emerging channel trends (content formats and subject matter), partnering with creative, paid social and marketing teams (and external agencies) to define and execute experiments, leaning into success
  • Improves process via Standard Operating Procedures (including documentation) for net new or ongoing processes such as social listening, social content publishing and channel partnerships
  • Coordinates with content team for always-on and overall programming in social media and onsite channels to ensure tactics ladder to overall strategy and goals
  • Manages external agencies and oversees campaign strategy, leading creative ideation to deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns for customers and meets channel growth goals

  • 8+ years relevant professional experience in influencer management, social strategy, social media management, and/or social media planning
  • Passion for social media and understanding of its business impact
  • Experience in fashion and retail industry
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
  • Experience managing and negotiating media and content contracts
  • Understanding of creative development process and media planning
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA or other advanced degree, preferably business/marketing related.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality social media campaigns in very dynamic environments
  • 6+ years of progressive responsibility in social media marketing and brand advertising
  • Highly detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to capture and use various data points to develop and measure marketing programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and work with a wide range of stakeholders
