Peppermint (owned by Compass Brands Inc.) is a seed-round underwear DTC brand targeted at Gen-Z. We celebrate authenticity, self-expression and sustainability. Peppermint is a globally-minded and cross-cultural startup with teams located in both US and China.

Peppermint is seeking a creative, analytical social media marketer to accelerate the impact of social media on our growing brand and business. You will be in charge of scaling our social following and engagement. You will be the point person responsible for all organic social media channels, with focus on Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube and Facebook.

This role is based in LA and will need to come to the office at least twice per week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own content creation for existing and new social platforms; manage the concept and storytelling stage of production (concept, shot list, some design/film) for all social content to ensure consistent posting + strong brand storytelling, including content derived from influencer or third-party content creator partnerships
  • Lead an always-on social media strategy: establish viral and data-driven growth tactics and content streams for Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Youtube. Oversee monthly content streams, influencer takeovers, community management and aggressive growth and engagement goals.
  • Manage the content calendar/cadence for social platforms with a strong understanding of and focus on the ongoing business needs; Being mindful of the balance between promotional, educational, storytelling and entertainment
  • Have an innate understanding of what is trending on social channels.
  • Track and aggregate community and influencer UGC across social platforms. Proactively surface this content to the Creative Designer and the Head of Growth Marketing to be used in multi-purpose streams and repost on owned channels.
  • Work closely with the Community Team on activations, goals, and timeline.
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms and how to leverage them. Highly knowledgeable about industry best practices yet approaches each platform through a lens of inclusivity, curiosity, humor, authenticity and devotion to the community.
  • Has the ability to transform ideas into strategic initiatives—and execute on them.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years experience of managing social marketing content and strategy
  • Ability to independently conceptualize a complex brand value and goal into tangible social media content and posts; film and edit abilities are a plus but not required
  • Experience with social operational tools like content management, publishing, and community management, experience with Sprout Social a plus
  • A strong storyteller, able to distill content into bite-sized social media captions and images.
  • Experience managing external agencies or partners.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Passion for start-ups, consumer brands, and rapid growth.
