Overview

As the Public Relations Assistant, you will be a key player in the operational success of the David Yurman PR team.

Responsibilities

  • Support PR Coordinator and Senior Manager of Global Communications on all David Yurman communications initiatives
  • Work alongside the PR Coordinator in the execution of daily tasks – including sample trafficking and communication with editors and stylists, fulfilling image/asset and credit requests, PR gifting orders and execution, and sample coordination to international PR agencies
  • Support on all internal PR reporting, including press clippings, weekly recaps, tracking all coverage for national and international press and assist with press impression reporting
  • Support PR Coordinator in maintaining the monthly PR tracker and editorial credits
  • Support Global Communications team on administrative tasks including invoicing, expenses, replenishing PR supplies and other applicable administrative tasks
  • Work with Senior Manager of Global Communications on influencer partnerships – supporting with sample trafficking, scheduling and contracts

Skills

  • Recent graduate with relevant internship and/or 1 year work experience in luxury public relations preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Able to collaborate and partner cross-functionally in a non-siloed, non-hierarchical manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work outside normal business hours for PR and brand events as needed
  • Great communications skills, self-motivated, eager to learn, organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, can-do attitude, understands a sense of urgency, meets deadlines, willing to support several team members
