Director, Performance Marketing
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Performance Marketing will be responsible for owning the strategic approach, full funnel media plan, and hands on day-to-day management of all paid advertising channels in partnership with media agency to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth in our biggest sales channel, LoveWellness.com.
This position requires a highly experienced and data-driven growth leader that will both dig into our existing paid media (Google, Facebook,TikTok etc.) accounts to advise on audience and bidding tactics to achieve sales and ROI targets as well as build out a long-term full paid media strategy. In addition, this role would entail expansion in new acquisition channels spanning from affiliates to OTT and beyond. The ideal candidate would also have experience from moving beyond conversion based KPIs like ROAS to a CAC: LTV model. Additionally, having a true understanding of acquiring new customers for a subscription business will be crucial to this person’s success.
This role will report directly to the VP of Digital & Ecommerce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the success of our eCommerce sales growth to hit both monthly and annual net sales goals, this includes acquiring new customers, growing new subscriptions and leads, and winning over existing customers in other sales channels.
- Develop and execute a holistic, full-funnel marketing strategy that drives top-line sales, while also improving overall efficiency for all paid media channel including but not limited to:
- Google Ads - Shopping, Smart Shopping, Brand Search, Categorical Search, Display and more
- Facebook Ads - Facebook & Instagram for prospecting and remarketing
- OTT - optimize cost of full video starts (views) as well as display companion ads for conversion
- Affiliate & Paid Partnerships
- Influencer Marketing
- Defining when to best optimize growth with eCommerce sales channels versus other sales channels, e.g. Amazon, Target, Ulta Beauty, etc.
- Maximizing growing subscription business with specific paid media activations.
- Collaborating with Sr. Director of Community & Partnerships to maximize efforts with Influencer Marketing Program and content publishers
- Collaborating with the Sr. Manager, CRM & Loyalty to ensure all owned messaging is supporting paid media efforts and vice versa.
- Stay up to date on industry (eCommerce and Health/Wellness) paid media trends (e.g. new platforms, changes to existing privacy laws) and be the thought leader in this space at Love Wellness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Must be located in NYC
- 7+ years of experience in developing and executing paid media strategies and proven experience developing and scaling new programs and refining existing programs, ideally at an eCommerce based CPG or Health/Wellness company
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience as a Director of Growth/Performance Marketing
- Must have at least four (4) years of experience with managing the following ad platforms -- Facebook/Instagram, Google/YouTube and Pinterest
- Strong working knowledge of all things Google Ads
- Experienced with OTT/Connected-TV buying and management in the US
- Experienced with Influencer Marketing to drive both top of funnel and conversion based results on an eCommerce website
- Experience in managing and building out affiliate marketing programs.
- Strong passion for data with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on eCommerce growth, including challenges, opportunities and new areas for expansion.
- Agency background a strong plus
- Experienced working with a small core team with big sales goals
