Senior Vice President, Atlanta, GA (Hybrid Work Structure)

The Role:

BCW’s is seeking a Senior Vice President, to be based Atlanta, GA. As a leader on the team, the SVP will contribute to the strategy and growth of the agency’s growing presence in the Southeast. This “Generalist” will also support established and emerging brands spanning the consumer brand sectors of CPG, F&B, QSR, Technology and Retail.

The SVP will partner with the Southeast leader to drive the direction of the region with our colleagues and clients – current and future.

The SVP’s primary role will be providing senior level strategic counsel to clients and oversight of day-to-day account activity to guide the strategy, planning and execution of integrated communications programs that include media relations, executive visibility, thought leadership, influencer relations, digital communications and social media strategy.

The SVP will be a strong candidate to lead key Brand businesses – one who has experience working on integrated programs for big name brands, fostering a strong sense of team and demonstrating gravitas when counseling and building trusted relationships with the C-Suite. The SVP will have a strong consumer and integrated marketing background. A strong POV and vision will be critical to the success of any Brand business.

The SVP will also be highly engaged in business development efforts. Significant experience and a proven successful track record in new business identification and process is a top requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and execution of brand launches with an integrated, earned-first focus
  • Senior client advisor and account leadership.
  • Brings innovative and integrated thinking with a point of view to clients and teams-- ability to influence and persuade multiple audiences
  • Key contributor to new and organic business development
  • Effectively leverage and mobilize agency resources to develop impactful campaigns (research, strategy, creative and analytics)
  • Build relationships with peers in industry and with other BCW lines of business.
  • Proactively provide ideas to clients to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues/opportunities
  • Bring an innovative, integrated and earned mindset to every aspect of the client’s business.
  • Serve a key partner with earned-plus creative teams including research and strategy, creative development and production, data analytics and intelligence and influencer marketing/digital/media.
  • Track record of growing accounts organically and participating in successful business pitches and delivering presentations.
  • Motivate and develop staff demonstrating a commitment to inclusion and diversity

Experience That Contributes to Your Success:

  • Experience working on integrated earned consumer campaigns
  • A deep understanding of client business and communications issues, and the ability to deliver smart, effective solutions in a high-velocity environment to leadership stakeholders
  • CPG and food/beverage experience is highly desired in addition to an understanding of how to drive earned media value for mass products
  • Passion for helping brands make a difference in the world and earn credit for it
  • Keen understanding of influencer marketing
  • Expertise in media relations and established relationships with trade, top-tier and business media
  • Earned media successes with an interest in emerging media trends and Gen Z-specific media strategy
  • Strong project management and proven ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and identify, secure and employ resources needed to achieve results
  • 12+ years’ experience in public relations and brand marketing
  • Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee engagement

Additional Expectations:

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact and manage workstreams and teams on program implementation
  • Set strategic direction for accounts, facilitating planning, strategy development, drafting of communications plans and managing execution
  • Drive story idea development for wide range of clients, tracking industry trends and identifying opportunities to insert our clients into current news cycles
  • Formulate and implement best practices on how to deliver insights in engaging formats across the practice.
  • Solid understanding of “big picture” client programs; maintain awareness of client business and communications objectives
  • Provide leadership in the areas of account management including day-to-day account activity.
  • Lead program planning from initial strategy, deliverable identification, and development from start to finish including implementation and post-launch optimization.
  • Keep abreast of the latest delivery and consumption trends in media, content, social spaces
  • Marketing and promotion of the Southeast region
  • Partner with Southeast leader to continue building Atlanta office by mentoring, coaching, educating, and managing direct reports.
  • Oversee and manage monitoring, research and online influencer engagement projects, content production, online property launches, and program measurement and budgets.
  • Collaborate with BCW practices to craft and implement strategies that support the brand based on our clients’ objectives and target audience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to seek creative ideas and provide input.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the communications and technology industry.
  • Seek and develop new business opportunities and lead new product initiatives.
  • Ability to leverage expertise for organic business development
  • Manage junior team members on both client-work and career development
