Social Media Community Manager

The OLAPLEX team is looking for an experienced Social Media Community Manager who is driven to create meaningful growth through brand awareness and building strong relationships. They are passionate about OLAPLEX and providing our customers with the best customer service experience on social media. You will manage a team of energetic community experts, provide direction, problem-solving, and support. You should be detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable pivoting with rapidly changing priorities. An understanding of our large spectrum of platforms is needed across our Professional Hairstylist community and clients, driving community growth in new and established platforms. This role will report to the Director of Social Media and work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager to echo brand messaging internally and to our community members.

- Manage Social Media Community Support Team
- Schedule organization & communications
- Personal development & training
- Monitor performance across social platforms that include Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter
- Using a creative eye to identify trends, best in class UGC, and content for boosting ads. Explore new platforms for OLAPLEX to responsibly expand its social media presence
- Monitor Social channels & landscape working with Social Media Support Staff to respond to comments, escalate product feedback/issues to internal teams, and proactively drive conversations and sales between the OLAPLEX brand and our social community
- Regularly pull social listening and owned social media performance data from native and third-party social media platforms to help with reporting to internal teams
- Partner with PR and influencer team to build relationships and seek out opportunities to grow brand awareness & Social following
- Collaborate with cross-functional partnerships across the education and customer service teams on department wide focuses and activations
- Support Director of Social Media & Sr. Social Media Manager on development and advancement with long-term strategies. Gather insights and share community feedback to establish and execute long-term owned social media approaches.
Qualifications – About You
- 4+ years of experience managing high-growth communities on social media for a professional organization or agency
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience managing a team; coaching and leading
- Experience managing large social media accounts
- Effective digital media communication skills, with a focus on writing for social media best practices - including experience in community-building and de-escalation communication techniques
- Extensive experience with Facebook, Facebook Groups, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior management.
- Experience with third-party social management platforms like Curalate/Social Commerce, Tribe, and Meltwater
- Ability to think strategically and creatively using sound business judgment
- Strong project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, strong bias for action
- Experience with TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Medium
