About the Role

The Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for driving Product Quality across Power Digital’s Product and Activation Pillars. This person is a people-first leader who is both supportive of the team and challenges the way we elevate our product quality to provide best in class results for clients and retain them. This person is a proactive change maker passionate about strategic planning, diversity and inclusion, and has experience managing a large, complex organization. This person manages the SVP/VP of Product and SVP/VP of Activation and supports the enhancement of product quality for the company through performance marketing strategy and innovation, standardization and product consistency, and training and development.

This person is laser focused on elevating service offerings across the organization as well as the nova team to maximize reporting and analytics quality for clients. This person works with the Chief Client Officer/SVP of Client Services to identify gaps within product quality leading to client churn and supports in the development of strategies/processes to fill those gaps to improve churn rate.

As an executive leader within the company, this person’s main responsibility lies within Product and Activation, but also spans making an impact across all departments and working with other department leaders and Heads to grow the business as a whole.

Core Responsibilities

Driving Product Quality Across Activation (Services) Team Through Scalable Systems

  • Creating and maintaining a standard of excellence of how we service our clients across all tiers (strategist through VP) as we continue to move up market
  • Training curriculum oversight across Activation team at all levels to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Developing and evolving the Activation team structure, roles, processes, and responsibilities to improve our product quality
  • Reducing client churn and improving Net Revenue Retention Rate

Driving Product Quality Across Product team

  • Elevating the ceiling of ROI for clients
  • Elevating the floor to reduce churn risk and mitigate errors
  • Consistently pushing Product team to innovate for our clients and follow through on implementation through Activation team

Management & Leadership of Product and Activation Team

  • Direct management of: VP/SVP of Product and Activation
  • Lead by example as a representation of our core values (Integrity, Autonomy, Growth Mindset, Solution Oriented, Always Innovate, Have Fun)
  • Work with Leadership to contribute positively to company culture and employee engagement
  • Set and manage quarterly and long-term goals centered around improving product quality at scale with leadership team
  • Coaching and development of senior leaders
  • Employee retention across Product and Activation
  • Mentorship of Product and Activation teams
  • Supporting Hiring plans: recruitment, interviewing and supporting growth of the team

Requirements

  • 15+ years of Performance Digital Marketing experience with an emphasis on Paid channels
  • Previous C-Level experience managing a large, complex organization
  • Expertise and proven track record in Performance Marketing Leadership
  • Previous focus on Client Strategy and Client Retention
  • In-depth knowledge of customer lifecycles, marketing funnels, flywheels, etc.
  • Previous experience with large sets of campaigns and clients
  • Previous experience leading a marketing team/business customer acquisition strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of performance marketing (tactics, channels, measurement, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger to make decisions and grow a team
