As
the Social Media Manager for Funko Games, you’ll be asked to tap into your passion for tabletop games to grow our fan community by creating engaging and compelling social-channel content that raises awareness for our games and creates conversations and buzz among our current fans, and our fans-to-be.

Funko Games creates tabletop games based on many entertainment and pop-culture licenses. We’re looking for someone who stays current on social media trends, is in the know on pop culture and entertainment trends, and knows how to create, manage, and execute a nonstop calendar of social media content. This role will focus on leading efforts to create our social strategies, as well as own the creation and implementation of social content across multiple channels -- as part of ongoing integrated marketing campaigns to promote all our games, and other initiatives and activities.

Your Superpowers in Action

  • Drive the development of the Funko Games social media engagement strategy across channels like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with the goals of growing our fan community and driving fan engagement for our brand and products, to establish KPIs. Evaluate other social platforms for consideration.
  • Create and maintain the daily social media content calendar, through collaboration with other marketing team members to prioritize games, messages, activities, and events. Schedule and execute daily content on all social media channels.
  • Work with internal and external creative teams, including designers, video production, photographers, and licensors to create exciting and compelling content for social media channels. Ensure all external communications and copies are on-brand.
  • Be able to correspond with fans across our social channels, to inspire and sustain engagement.
  • Maintain and evangelize social media performance reporting and tracking through the use of industry-standard tools. Evaluate performance and make recommendations to optimize engagement and increase fan growth.
  • Coordinate and create influencer-driven content when applicable.
  • Coordinate and execute contest prizing and fulfillment as needed.
  • Assist with content updates on Funko Games-owned channels like Funkogames.com.

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 3-4 years prior marketing, agency, or in-house social or digital marketing experience, with an emphasis on writing and creating social media content.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Mac-based computer applications.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred.
  • Experience with managing social platform insights (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  • Games industry experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with running social media for other games and entertainment/pop-culture brands preferred.
  • Dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment and be a team player, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and seamlessly move from project to project.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and demonstrated knowledge and proven ability to identify marketing opportunities
  • Passion and open mind regarding games entertainment and pop culture trends.
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, adapts well to change, and maintains composure under pressure.
  • Is accountable for results approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.
  • Open to working nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to events
