The enterprise marketing team at Upwork owns growing our Enterprise business through funnel filling activity, enablement, activations, and events.

We are looking for a transformational B2B-savvy marketer to join us as the VP, Enterprise Marketing. Upwork is going through incredible growth with the very nature of work being reimagined. You will need to think like a CMO with a big picture approach to managing the marketing machine powering our salesforce to land new business and expand our existing footprint. As a champion for our customers, you'll set the strategy and lead a team to build breakthrough programs that speak their language. You’ll report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, in close partnership with our SVP, Sales.

Your Responsibilities

  • Set vision and strategy for our enterprise marketing team and lead them through transformation
  • Sell in your vision across marketing, sales and product and establish yourself as a business-wide influencer with cross-functional buy-in
  • Implement, drive and optimize marketing strategy across workstreams and develop key performance metrics for all marketing investments
  • Innovate to further product reach and boost sales
  • Stay current on competitor analysis and market trends in partnership with market research, and educate the business on those insights
  • Manage budgets to optimize resources across channels
  • Nurture an enterprise marketing team with clear success metrics and accountability to increase communication and productivity

What It Takes To Catch Our Eye

  • In-depth knowledge of B2B enterprise marketing and working with a direct sales team
  • Experience working within an innovative company through high growth and transformation
  • Data-driven leader with experience managing budgets and a P&L
  • A problem solver who can prioritize, manage expectations, plan and resource global projects
  • Experience in a laddered customer journey with success in both customer segmentation and International expansion
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial spirit who can effectively lead and nurture a team to achieve outstanding results
