Une Femme is a new brand of Champagne & sparkling wines made by women winemakers that celebrates and inspires women, and supports charities that impact the lives of women. For our PR & Communications Lead we are seeking a senior communications leader with strong internal and external comms experience who can build and execute a best-in-class plan that continues to fuel our exponential growth trajectory. This leader will help set, evolve and manage our brand voice as well as design a comms plan with strong pillars in thought leadership, earned media, crisis comms, social/influencer, internal culture building, and Hall of Femme/community-building. The Comms Lead will be responsible for ensuring the plan’s flawless, on-time, on-budget execution as well as monitoring in-market results, and managing and adjusting a variety of internal and external resources as necessary to ensure results are delivered.

Success is: You helping the company achieve it’s full potential by building a cult following for the Une Femme brand and developing and implementing a full-scale communications program that maximizes reach to the right audience in order to help deliver Une Femme revenue goals in a concrete, measurable, scalable, sustainable (ROI-positive) way.

The PR & Communications Lead will be responsible for:

-Delivering profitable, sustainable revenue growth as quickly as possible: This is our collective number one success metric, and we’ll look to you to lead figuring out what works best - and scales! - in maximizing press coverage, affiliate revenue and impact of influencer and earned/owned/social strategies. We’ll also look to you to align planning, budgeting, monitoring, analyzing and optimizing against key performance metrics to ensure revenue goals are delivered in a sustainable way!

-Building an Une Femme cult following: From the brand voice, to earned/owned media, community and business strategies, we need your help designing a plan, approach and content that brings our mission to life in a breakthrough way at every brand touchpoint and turns our consumers, as well as investors, agency, retailer, and distribution partners into brand evangelists!

-Making us into a world-class PR execution machine: We will look to you to set up and maintain the right systems, processes and press relations that ensure a regular drum-beat of brand coverage as well as remarkable, on-time and on-budget execution and activation of our communications plans across all channels.

-Ensuring brand stewardship: Our brand must stay consistent to its core values, look, and feel during a period of explosive growth! To achieve that, we will look to you and the rest of the marketing crew to build, evolve and maintain foundational documents to ensure a cohesive brand look, feel and voice across all channels and consumer/partner touchpoints.

-Maximizing Value Creation and Delivering with Excellence: A key part of the job is being choiceful in where we put our collective energy & resources. We will look for you to help guide that decision-making as well as coordinate the right internal & external resources to deliver the necessary results.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

-You need to be T-shaped: We’re seeking someone who is creative and curious by nature and who ideally has broad exposure to companies at different life stages as well as all spokes of communications wheel (strategy, copywriting, press kit development, pitching/PR/earned coverage, social, influencer, affiliate, & community strategy) so that they:

-Excel at figuring out where time is best spent

-Are a knowledgeable and inspiring partner to work with

-Can plan & execute a multi-channel communications plan with excellence

-Have the critical thinking skills and strategic firepower to transform data and observations into insights and action plans that will help achieve our dream.

-You need to be a dreamer and a doer: From Day 1, the runway for growing your impact and leadership should be nearly endless, but we want to be transparent. For the moment we need someone as excited to roll up their sleeves and work alongside others to get the work done as build the vision and set the strategy.

-You need to be able to help us get further faster: We need you to have strong existing relationships with key food/beverage/lifestyle/female writers and both know what works on the earned and owned fronts as well as how to avoid the landmines and pitfalls of the media and social/community universes. Having strong experience in CPG, and in the food/beverage/alcohol industry, isn’t mandatory, but it will certainly help!

-You need an agile mindset: We need someone who is observant and strategic enough to identify and embrace the opportune moments where untapped potential can be unlocked by evolving what we’re doing and/or how we’re doing it.

-People should want to have a drink with you (even if it’s non-alcoholic!): We want everyone who is a part of our journey to enjoy the ride. So to be successful in this role - and at Une Femme at large - you have to be able to get A++ performance out of yourself and others while still having a good time and lifting others up.
