Influencer Marketing Manager
Position Overview:
SmartyPants is looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for the Influencer Marketing Manager position at a leading CPG start-up brand in preventative health.
The Influencer Marketing Manager is responsible for managing existing influencer relationships and cultivating new ones on behalf of SmartyPants. You’ll lead development of annual influencer strategies to support brand goals and business objectives, partnering with stakeholders across social media, digital marketing, creative, PR, shopper marketing, and more.
The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness - and is on a mission to develop authentic, lasting relationships with brand ambassadors that share our values. You'll have strong experience working with both influencers and agencies, particularly when it comes to negotiating and executing creative content plans that drive awareness, consideration, and engagement.
The ideal candidate has a clear track record of success managing large-scale influencer programs for a mass consumer or vitamin brand. Knowledge or passion for nutrition and family health is a bonus!
What You’ll Do:
- Own and implement annual influencer marketing strategies, establishing and nurturing long-term partnerships through organic and sponsored content and networking
- Retain current influencer base and grow new influencers as ambassadors of the brand
- Identify, negotiate, and contract new partners according to brand standards and guidelines
- Ideate, brief, and develop creative campaigns in support of seasonal priorities and product launches
- Harness storytelling to leverage influencers to connect to brand objectives and consumer needs
- Campaign management: manage feedback, deadlines, and publishing of all third-party provided deliverables
- Understand the influencer landscape, social platforms, content creation patterns and their work within the health & wellness industry
- Use tools like Tribe Dynamics for social tracking, database management, and reporting on brand and campaign KPIs
- Track and analyze performance of influencer outreach, content, and conversion rates to estimate ROI and advise on best strategies
- Perform competitive analysis, industry research, and continually assess best practices and KPIs
- Monitor, track and share new digital and social trends, tools and platforms to connect with brand strategies
- Other job-related duties as requested
What You Have:
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale influencer programs and campaigns for a consumer brand or agency
- Passion for relationship building and understanding of how to craft authentic connections for brands
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills
- Deep knowledge of the influencer and social media landscape - including emerging trends, platforms, or potential partners relevant to CPG/VMS
- Experience working cross-functionally with creative, organic social, paid media, website/eCommerce, and other marketing functions
- Experience managing platforms like Tribe Dynamics, Cohley, etc
- Results-oriented and able to quantify outcomes of past activations
- Excellent judgment and ability to navigate interpersonal situations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment

Office Environment:
SmartyPants is a fast-moving and mission-driven company that values transparency, excellence, and transformation. Our headquarters in Marina del Rey are a former architect's office, a two-story space where we work in an open environment with no elevator access to our 2nd floor offices. We have a communal garden, and we are dog-friendly, often with several pups in the office at any given time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the working environment is open and has no doors or cubicles.
