Communications Coordinator
We are seeking a communications professional with strong direct experience in B2B public relations and/or influencer marketing.
The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our evolution as a B2B media company. They will bring vision, structure and process to our community initiatives—currently we have two primary communities: Top Retail Influencers (TRI) and Global Retail Leaders (GRL). Our well-established TRI community is industry recognized and sponsored by Microsoft as of 2022. The GRL community is in development with an anticipated launch of Fall 2022.
Previous roles working within a fully remote team + specialized experience in B2B industry media are a big plus!
The role is responsible for:
- Acting as the liaison between RETHINK Retail and its communities.
- Assisting the Director of Brand Marketing with:
-Designing our communities, including who should be invited to join, as well as the branding and positioning (crafting the voice, tone, look and feel).
-Communications/outreach to community members for all content and event contributions and collaborations.
-Guiding the web development team in the content and design of the upcoming Speakers Bureau website.
-Developing an annual community engagement plan.
-Working directly to track and translate these connections into benefits for our sales teams, clients and management.
-Planning and managing sponsorship levels and engagement, as well as brainstorming and executing to maximize offerings’ results.
- Moderating our communities through support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build RETHINK Retail and its communities' brand presence and trust both online and in person.
- Managing our communities, including measuring engagement rates and satisfaction surveys.
- Facilitating and scheduling one-on-one personal meetings with all community members every 4 months.
- Posting on social media, predominantly LinkedIn and Twitter, as a brand ambassador to work on developing the community by participating in discussions, finding new members, and listening to current members.
- Promoting, producing and co-hosting internal quarterly Forum meetings to update the communities on new opportunities, facilitate networking, and general housekeeping updates.
- Promoting, producing and co-hosting monthly discussion Mixers for networking, thought leadership, and collaboration opportunities.
- Meeting both virtually and in person at industry events with community members to increase engagement and participation.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in communications, public relations, marketing, business administration, or related field.
- Willing to provide information for an education background check or proof of degree.
- Ability to work remotely full-time from a home office.
- Available during regular business days and hours: Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM ET.
- Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required to attend industry events or client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working at a B2B company.
- Experience working remotely, especially with a fully-remote team.
- Based in Florida. If not, a similar EST time zone is preferred.
- Some knowledge of marketing automation tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, Email Marketing).
- Some experience using project management tools and platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Asana, Basecamp, etc.)
