About the role:
The Director of Affiliate Marketing brings industry expertise, valued insight and strategic practices to Power Digital and its clients. They are a seasoned affiliate marketer in all aspects of building affiliate programs from the ground up from advising on budgets small and large to forecasting with experience making data-driven testing and optimization decisions. They have an extensive background in managing and overseeing affiliate programs specific to eCommerce, with Lead Generation as an added plus. They are at the forefront of industry trends, changes, and news and are the first to know and tell teams.
This role will oversee the department’s product quality pillar, which encompasses end-to-end strategy, preventing client churn, developing A+ client relationships within the affiliate channel, developing our publisher strategy arm, and more. They are responsible for always leveling up our product as well as innovating and creative new service line items to offer expanded and more strategic capabilities as a deparment. The person in this role will serve as a mentor to others on the Affiliate team, providing senior client counsel as needed, oversee client strategy, guide client budgets and provide experiential insight confidently.
As a department leader, the Director of Affiliate Marketing will also bring management experience. They have a people-first mentality and value the growth and development of the team at large. They work closely with the Operations Pillar owner to ensure employee operational goals (Vital 5, 15Five, Career Pathing) are met and / or exceeded with excitement. They are a passionate affiliate marketer, skilled leader, and active team player within the department and across the agency at large.
Responsibilities:
- Agency go-to for all complex affiliate strategy, contract, and department questions
- People management leader responsible for developing and coaching mid-level and sr. managers
- Will drive strategy and consult for the most complex business models and clients
- Plays key role in business development and can effectively speak to prospects and work with business development team to pitch our services
- Creative ideation of innovative strategies, deliverables, and optimizations
- Responsible for department unique product offer positioning and market competitiveness
- Responsible for maintaining and developing staffing pipeline and recruitment
- Contributes new ideas to better the overall performance and efficiency of the agency
- Serves as senior counsel for account strategy and high-level initiatives

- 95% employee retention of team members they oversee
- Hitting 95% to goal of P&L for department including service expansion goal defined by dept
- 90%+ accounts pacing to goal
- Client churn rate below 10%

- 100% completion of PDM processes each week (hour stack Asana 15five)

- Tracking GP Per Production Employee Target for Department (Target: $26k RPE and department-specific PPE goals)

- 100% of Hedgehogs are conducted annually and 90%+ of Team On Track
Qualifications
- Agency experience required
- eCommerce experience required
- Previous management experience required
- Hands-on experience in affiliate platforms like Impact, ShareASale, CJ, Partnerize required
- Excellent time management skills
