Based in Los Angeles, CA, the company employs a highly diversified team, with a growing number of remote teams and talented individuals across the US.
In 2018, the company received its first institutional funding from Chicago-based investment management firm Sterling Partners/87. The capital supports the need to further build the team, expand infrastructure, and grow its product pipeline. Lisa Stelly continues to inspire and lead the company in her role as Chief Creative Officer, focusing on developing new products and categories, and creating content for a wide array of channels through which the brand connects with an expanding and highly discerning customer base.
The Opportunity:
Fancy Sprinkles is seeking a Social Media Manager. As a Social Media Manager, you’ll lead the strategy, content execution, and management of all social media channels, as well as lead the brands’ social mission initiatives. You will cohesively manage various company personas to achieve our marketing and community goals. As a Social Media Manager, you are up to date with the latest platforms and social media trends, as well as keep a tight pulse on current events. You understand the importance of social content—and you know how to bring it to life. Ultimately, you are the lead of our social media presence, creating high levels of engagement and deepening our social community.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute strategy for social media platforms, while continually evolving and adjusting content to meet and/or exceed metric targets, including but not limited to, engagement, follower growth, impressions, reach, site traffic, revenue, etc.
- Lead the creation and production of all content for all current and emerging platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and more, to ensure content and copy supports the brand voice and aesthetic in a compelling, engaging, useful, and delightful way
- Create and manage social media content calendars and creative brief development in alignment with the brands’ marketing calendar and collaboration with key stakeholders
- Strategize the promotion of all company initiatives on social media; work closely with the Brand Marketing and Brand Creative teams to ensure alignment with global strategic objectives and goals
- Evaluate and re-design strategy for Influencer programs (brand ambassadors) that aligns with our overall brand strategy.
- Develop and strategize programs revolving around the brand’s social mission and lead social mission initiatives for the company
- Define metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of our efforts across channels; work with the Customer Experience teams to analyze performance, build insight recaps, and use the findings to continuously improve our work
- Oversee community management across all platforms and collaborate with Customer Experience and Merchandise Team to share feedback and resolve customer/order complications
- Support the Performance Marketing team by providing assets and creative guidance to ensure a consistent aesthetic, voice, and tone of our paid social media content
- Monitor, research, and stay ahead of industry developments, creative trends, and culturally relevant moments to push our social media efforts forward with speed and efficiency; create content that capitalizes on various platforms or trends while staying true to the brand
Who you are:
- BA in Marketing, Ad/Mass Comm, or relevant field preferred
- 3+ years of social media experience at a lifestyle brand or in an editorial setting
- Strong experience managing all content creation across social media platforms, plus for experience in Sprout Social and GRIN
- Extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of social channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) and how content for each platform can be used most efficiently
- Intermediate with photography and video production with the knowledge of what it takes to maintain the look, feel, and language of a brand as you bring it to life in new and special ways (plus, lighting, and creative composition is your jam)
- Experience directing content creation, and implementing social campaigns
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to engage audiences
- Ability to be both a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines
- Proficient in Google Workspace tools and Adobe Suite (i.e., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Location: Must be located in the greater LA area
