Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the development and execution of best-in-class, strategic omni-channel communications strategy to drive market share growth and improve business revenue and profitability. This individual will lead the implementation of all marketing related plans and activities including marketing mix assessment, demand generation, corporate communications, and managing agencies.
Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)
- Hires, leads, and develops the Marketing team in the execution of best-in-class, strategic omni-channel communications plans
- Develops and executes a growth and marketing strategy across online and offline channels.
- Creates integrated direct-to-consumer, physician and B2B marketing strategies and oversee campaigns that drive brand awareness, consideration, conversion, and marketplace differentiation while also elevating the companies brand.
- Leads and oversees global media strategy to increase traffic, lead generation and orders across multiple sales channels and geographies
- Manages the work of internal and external agencies and leads the creative translation.
- Leads messaging, storytelling, and persona-specific customer-journey mapping and customer buying mapping experience
- Develops, monitors, and controls marketing budgets and forecasts, and assess the marketing media mix (model) to evaluate cost effectiveness and results
- Translates marketing and business plans into communications that are impactful, relevant, and measurable.
- Oversees downstream marketing communications to ensure maintenance of brand identity and tone of voice
- Manages campaign budgets, sets KPIs, and tracks ROI against spend
- Estimates resourcing needs for the marketing team and operates within approved budgets.
- Develops and delivers marketing briefs to internal/external creative teams, agency partners, and freelancers to inspire and guide creative development.
- Builds, maintains, and communicates the rolling product marketing launch calendar to Sales, Product, Manufacturing, and leadership teams for all assigned launches and product lines, aligning timing, marketing mix and level of investment for each.
- Manages a diverse media portfolio consisting of multiple media outlets from television, print, direct mail, email, online, social, event, etc. while constantly evaluating new opportunities with the objective to minimize cost per sale, fulfill sales consumption requirements, and achieve branding objectives.
- Manages and monitors the activities and day to day operations of marketing and media vendors and suppliers as well as internal staff to ensure that they deliver consistent assignments adhering to Companies marketing guidelines.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Assists with any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Adept at both online and offline marketing strategies
- Adept at growing organic social channels + implementing influencer marketing programs.
- Experience in content marketing strategy and execution.
- Experience managing creative production teams.
- Experience marketing to various audiences; physicians, nurses, pharmacists, office/practice-based physicians, IDNs and hospitals.
- Proven track record of developing and executing online and offline marketing strategies.
- Proven track record of effectively managing large marketing budgets.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to use data to inform strategy.
- Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel ~30% (domestically and internationally).

Qualifications (Experience and Education)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications required
- Advanced degree MS/MBA/MA preferred.
- 12-15 years marketing management experience, required including 8+ years’ experience in MedTech / Pharmaceutical marketing, including omni-channel marketing.
- 7+ years brand management at a high-growth DTC company, required.
- 6+ years management experience, with a minimum of five direct reports, required.
- Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office, required
