Under the direction of the Sr. Manager PR & Influencer, Global Portfolio Brands – American Crew and CND, the

Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing is responsible for supporting the Global North American Marketing, Education and Sales teams with all content needs and social media platforms. This position is also responsible for initiating and supporting the Global PR, Influencer and Digital teams to support the macro brand objectives.

This Includes

  • Supports and delivers content/engagements that successfully recruit and retain consumers and delivers against key business goals and KPIs through PR and influencer channels.
  • Supports the PR & Influencer and Digital teams in collaboration with Global and North America Marketing teams.
  • Driving brand goals on all press and influencer networks.
  • Create recaps to disseminate PR coverage, influencer content and key campaigns to the larger Global and local teams.
  • Fosters strong relationships internally with cross-functional partners in Global and local markets; as well as external agency partners and vendors.
  • Champions the execution of strategic brand, philanthropic and relevant community sponsorship activities.
  • Manages social handles for Canadian market

Major Duties

  • Supports the evolution of PR & Influencer communications to elevate brand awareness and consideration.
  • Coordinates the creation and execution of key PR and influencer digital content (e.g. media activations, sponsorships, influencer partnerships, content creation, events, etc.
  • Supports PR, Influencer Marketing and digital communication executions on a Global level
  • Works with internal brand team, global/regional partners and external agencies to create & adapt communication assets for global distribution (press releases, campaigns, mailers, etc.)

Provides on-going recommendations through planning and creative execution

  • Manages and executes PR & Influencer calendars
  • Helps engage community management across all owned social media platforms
  • Supports the creation of branded content
  • Consults brand and retailer partners on content strategies
  • Maintain all team touchpoints including digital/communications calendar and NUXEO
  • Supports the Global Communications team with development of content dissemination strategy focused on PR and key influencers.
  • Helps identify opportunities to drive innovation
  • Works closely with internal/external partners to ensure efficient, timely and accurate delivery of plans
  • Supports Sr. PR & Influencer Mktg Manager to manage any consumer crisis across social media platforms
  • Monitor market developments, news and trends and distribute regular findings to teams
  • Sets and monitors effective benchmarks for measurement of communication performance with KPIs and ROI
  • Defines best practices for analytics and ensures consistent, ongoing benchmarking and analysis of performance

including making data-driven recommendations to improve future success

  • Monitors and reports on key consumer sentiment – brand and product level
  • Helps recommends plan optimization based on results in conjunction with external agencies and partners
  • Performs other related duties as required that expand the portfolio and scope of the Communications Team (including but not limited to PR, Philanthropy, Trade shows and other administrative tasks)
  • Attend and participate in marketing/sales/education meetings, regional meetings, specialty events including PR, retail activations, industry meetings to ensure social coverage where necessary
  • May need to be available after regular working hours in order to respond to requests in real time

  • Keen interest and comfort with beauty products /application/trends/influencers/pop culture
  • Proactive, collaborative, high energy, roll-up your sleeves attitude

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing or other related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience required, preferably in a multi-divisional consumer goods public company.
  • Experience in personal care and beauty is a plus.
  • Experience in project management, PR, digital, events, social media, influencer, writing, strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrates experience in social media and key influencer content development.
