This position reports to the Director, PR & Influencer Marketing
The Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing position will have the responsibility for supporting internal and external communications initiatives for Sol de Janeiro, via proactive and reactive media and influencer relations. You are an innovator in the media + influencer sector and can see the endless possibilities to completely define the space, subsequently setting Sol de Janeiro and our work apart.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing is responsible for supporting the Global Marketing, Education and Sales teams with all content needs and social media platforms
- This position is also responsible for initiating and supporting the Global PR, Influencer and Digital teams to support the macro brand objectives
- Work with the internal brand team, global/regional partners, and external agencies to create & adapt communication assets for global distribution (press releases, executive interview prep documents, campaigns, mailers, etc.)
- Develop and maintain talent contact database, tagging and categorizing at campaign and initiative level.
- Strong ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative data, summarize effectiveness of influencer outreach initiatives, evaluating consumer engagement levels. Report on impact and ROI (return on investment) using Tribe Dynamics tools monthly and following launches
- Strong knowledge and ongoing learning on social platforms and changes that could alter strategy, such as algorithm updates or social behavior shifts.
- Provide administrative and marketing support to prepare the necessary 360 GTM and campaign presentations.
- Conduct market/media research and apply findings to documentation, projects, and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date media lists, influencer databases/ directory, meeting agendas/reports, etc.
- Ensure Global PR agency partners' requests are met.
- Assist in developing press pitch documents and interview preparation documents for brand founders
- Assist agency and Senior Manager in building and editing mailer lists, invite lists and other target lists.
- Manage the sample request process, partnering with cross functional teams to coordinate the fulfillment of all incoming sample inquiries from influencers and media outlets while maintaining and monitoring tracking documents.
- Manage the creation of recaps to disseminate PR coverage, influencer content and key campaigns to the larger Global and local teams
- Manage the administrative and marketing support to prepare the necessary 360 GTM and campaign presentations.
- Manage the market/media research and apply findings to documentation, projects, and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- At least 2-4 years of on-the-job experience (including internships)
- Effective communication skills
- Impeccable follow through
- Deep knowledge of social content and social best practices, an eye on competitive marketplace and staying up to date with social trends
- An open-minded team player with a collaborative attitude
- Highly organized and able to manage complex projects; detail oriented and take direction and flexible working within multiple project focused teams
