Social Media Manager
We are looking for a creative, versatile Social Media Manager to manage our ever-growing audience, educating our brand values to our engaged community. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of content creation and managing social media tasks from ideation to execution, with experience in community management. This position will further develop our editorial strategy with continuous content across various online & offline channels, helping to establish Freedom Grooming as the go-to brand for all things head care and grooming.
Ideally, this candidate will ideally have some experience using Adobe Photoshop, and can assist in developing assets for social use. Critically, this person must have a scrappy, can-do attitude, be comfortable taking on a variety of short- & long-term projects, wearing many hats, and working independently.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute social media strategy, aligned with our marketing and content calendars, to support core business KPIs, drive awareness, traffic, and sales
- Manage content development strategy for all of Freedom Grooming’s social channels including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Formulate, test, and execute social media-specific tactics to encourage audience growth and maintain healthy organic engagement for each channel
- Own day-to-day social media planning and execution, including caption writing, curating UGC, post scheduling, and community management
- Own a social media content calendar and publishing cadence for social channels that align with brand marketing calendar, editorial themes, and relevant cultural moments
- Maintain a consistent social media publishing schedule, always ideating new content opportunities and campaigns that are cohesive and on-brand
- Continuously brainstorm and execute new ways to engage our social audiences while communicating core brand messaging
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support all marketing efforts, including but not limited to: influencer activations, marketing campaigns, and giveaways
- Lead and execute social giveaways with like-minded brands
- Monitor, analyze, and report social metrics to propose effective strategies for growth
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant social media experience. Preferably experience with brand development and marketing for a DTC business
- Content strategist with an elevated creative eye and aesthetic; can execute a creative vision across a variety of mediums (photo, text, video)
- Strong copywriter with a knack for storytelling; ability to repurpose marketing materials to effectively create organic content tailor-made for each social channel that feels endemic to that platform
- Have a passion for personal care, wellness, hygiene, and grooming
- Live and breathe all things social media. You’re up to date on the latest trends and best practices and are the first to test out new platforms and features when they launch. You follow and/or are up to speed on best-in-class social media brands & personalities in order to draw inspiration
- Understand how to connect with a virtual audience, and utilize insights and prior experience managing a community to help shape your social strategy
- Exceptionally organized with a strong ability to multitask and work independently
