MSLGROUP is currently seeking VP, Social Media and Influencer Marketing, Healthcare for our Digital Innovation Center of Excellence. This VP will have an expertise in social media, influencer marketing and digital distribution. As part of our dynamic team, the Vice President will focus on high-profile healthcare brands as well as new business.
The ideal candidate should have significant experience in healthcare marketing with a focus on strategy and executing national social media and influencer marketing programs for leading companies. The candidate is a true team player with ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients to move projects effectively, on time, and with excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of innovative, results-oriented, social, digital and influencer programs that compel audiences to action and drive business results
- Stay current with the latest developments in patient engagement campaigns; proactively integrating and advocating new technologies and opportunities
- Prepare and present social media influencer strategies and creative briefs to internal teams and clients
- Oversee teams creating multi-pronged influencer activations, including identification, relationship building, consulting, negotiation, contracting, legal and regulatory approvals, event and/or campaign execution
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and leverage tools to inform strategic recommendations in real time and effectively track and measure success
- Effectively present data-based results, leveraging successes to build further work
- Establish and evolve best practices across social media and influencer campaigns; support digital skill building of teams
- Participate in pitching new business opportunities
- Attend in-person meetings with clients as needed
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years previous experience and a B.A. in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline;
- Digital native with understanding of social across owned, earned and paid perspectives;
- Strong understanding of healthcare content trends across platforms and within patient and physician online communities;
- Experience with Influencer and Social Media tools, such as CreatorIQ, Brandwatch and Julius/HYPR;
- Proven experience in leading teams to execute client programs with a blend of strong time management, leadership, team building, mentoring and client relation skills;
- Experience working with medical, legal and regulatory teams in pharmaceutical and/or medical device companies;
- Agile and collaborative working style - demonstrated ability to work against tight timelines and part of cross-discipline agency and client teams;
- Proven experience working in tandem with other creative agencies to develop comprehensive campaigns;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as an ability to develop and present compelling client proposals.
