About The Role
As Dandy’s Content Lead, you’ll lead the strategy, tactics, and execution of our content marketing engine. You’ll use qualitative and quantitative data, SEO best practices, and a customer-centric mindset to innovate in building an industry-leading editorial team and editorial program. You will set the vision, write the playbook, and drive consistency for a high performing editorial practice that rivals the best publishing houses. Equipped with the people and resources you need, we will look to you to not only ensure Dandy’s content is easily discoverable, consistently published, but also highly engaging for our audience of dentists, practice owners, and dental professionals. You will own all content across mediums, create a best-in-class audience experience, and innovate in building educational, engaging, and entertaining content across existing and new mediums.
What You’ll Do
- Build and own our editorial calendar, ensuring that the content we create brings value to an expanding digital audience of dental practice owners, dental associates, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other dental office personas.
- Conduct keyword, user, and competitive research to ensure we’re growing topline metrics of traffic and leads.
- Build and own the strategic vision of building the #1 media network in dentistry through the establishment of new media channels across mediums, all integrated within Dandy’s brand ecosystem.
- Oversee the audience's experience throughout our editorial properties, building a truly intuitive and engaging audience experience wherever our content is displayed.
- Build and manage a team of internal and external writers, editors, and subject matter experts.
- Evolve our brand voice, tone, interactive, and topical standards for all our distribution points.
- Humanize our content through customer-driven storytelling and highly empathetic content based on targeted persona’s true pain-points, interests, and needs.
- Own and drive content marketing KPIs related to traffic and leads.
- Create programmatic content production capabilities utilizing existing business activities (like research, product marketing, customer stories, industry trends), and internal and external experts.
- Develop production processes and workflows that scale rapidly while ensuring high-quality production.
- Manage our external content agency resources including SEO and content marketing partners.
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO to increase SERP rankings, inbound links, and organic traffic.
- Supercharge data-driven storytelling activities in partnership with the communications team to
- generate links and build domain authority
What We’re Looking For
- 7-10 years of B2B content marketing experience and a BA/BS degree
- Experience building and managing high-performance teams with high-impact content production capabilities
- Experience driving revenue-focused growth
- Fluency with data analysis and proven ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to think holistically about content and business strategy, and incorporate quantitative and qualitative insights into content execution
- Superior writing and editing skills
- An influencer that can work well with various groups and levels of the organization, as well as external thought leaders, contractors, and partners
- Passionate about Dandy’s mission and the impact we can have on the lives of dentists and dental professionals.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Clearscope, Ahrefs, Wordpress, Yoast etc.
