The Sr. Social Content Specialist will be responsible for the development, sourcing, copywriting, publishing, and execution of all owned social media content across the Sally Beauty social portfolio. This role will plan content against the Sr. Manager’s editorial calendar and department’s social media strategy. The Sr Specialist will be responsible for driving impressions, traffic, engagement, and audience growth. Social Channels include but are not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Podcast. Sr Specialist will also perform duties as assigned from management.

Responsibilities

Organic Social Media Content Ownership

  • Sr Specialist will own the social media post creation across all owned social channels for Sally Beauty
  • Develop content sourcing strategy in partnership with Sr Manager to source and deliver best-in-class social content to drive performance KPIs
  • Own the social copywriting for organic social media posts that adhere to brand guidelines and tone
  • Ability to shoot, edit, and develop social content as needed that adhere to brand guidelines and tone
  • Jack of all trades for sourcing/developing content for the appropriate channels

Content and Channel Management

  • Ability to meet planning dates and deadlines
  • Ability to write content briefs for internal and external sourcing needs
  • Ability to support Sr Manager with influencer content sourcing and management
  • Ability to manage social media accounts that require native or manual posting and moderation

Content Optimization

  • Owns social media content reporting and analysis with the ability to identify immediate performance optimizations and recommendations for channel growth
  • Stays abreast on social media content trends and proactively applies to brand content
  • Ability to complete weekly and monthly social media performance reports and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualifications

  • Must have 3-5 years of social media marketing experience for a large-scale brand (beauty industry preferred) focusing on social media content and social post creation
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Design or similar field
  • Expert content knowledge of leading social media networks including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest
  • Social Management software experience (Sprinklr, Khoros, etc)
  • Social Metrics knowledge
  • Proactive communicator and problem solver
  • Social media savvy, always staying on top of new trends and features
  • Preferred copywriting and SEO experience
  • Preferred photoshop, video editing experience a plus
