Job Overview

Macy’s Live enables brands, influencers, and Macy's personalities to host events where customers can explore and purchase products all while getting real-time assistance in an immersive digital environment. This team’s mission will be to grow and scale live video commerce and ensure it is aligned to our customer and company objectives.

The Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development of the Live growth vision and aligning cross-functional colleagues to deliver on that vision. This is a high priority initiative and will require support on frequent senior leadership updates while collaborating with key stakeholders in brand management, digital product, media, and analytics.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with consumer research, social listening, and customer analytics teams to clearly articulate customer opportunities throughout the Live shopping funnel
  • Partner cross functionally to deliver planning sessions that support key program needs accounting for impact across functions such as technology, analytics, media, production, and creative and then provide communication of those needs to leadership and other stakeholders
  • Consistently partner with social platform leaders for insights and resourcing opportunities, also requesting new to market ideas and capabilities
  • Provide real time optimization feedback as needed in connection with overall content strategy
  • Ensure all resources are driving growth and delivering on objectives including creative approach, content impact, product roadmap, and overall customer performance
  • Utilize the customer data, insights, and editorial calendar to create compelling content plans in partnership with key stakeholders and as a part of the holistic social strategy
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews that include revenue metrics, program engagement, and overall program health in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Develop and iterate growth strategies for Live that will make meaningful impact to customers
  • Partner with analytics to refine data needs and ensure path for optimization
  • Support Principal with monthly financial PNL updates
  • Other special assignments as needed

Competencies

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
  • 4+ years marketing experience at agency or retailer in social media, strategy, communication planning
  • Strong passion to pave the way and define social commerce in a retail landscape
  • Customer obsessed, with a proven ability to use various data inputs to create strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and get to clear decisions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, yet able to be successful in large organization
  • Strong understanding of social media, live commerce, and influencer strategy
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce performance KPIs and ability to pull out insights for planning
  • Consistently on top of cultural, digital, social media and ecommerce trends
