The Role…
As events and communications manager for Soho Home Melrose store, this position will be fundamental in making the Soho.Home.Studio a key interiors destination in the local area.
Responsible for the ideation and delivery of the store events programming, coming up with exciting new event formats and speakers. Liaising with suppliers to ensure full operational delivery.
As the on-the-ground spokesperson for Soho Home, you will connect with local likeminded businesses and Soho House members to identify new opportunities to drive our brand awareness, footfall, leads for the interior design service and purchase consideration.
The role will work closely with the communications and creative team in the London Head Office, ensuring all activity is aligned with the global brand calendar, communicated via our channels, and activated to the highest quality.
Main Duties…
Events
- Ideate the events and programming calendar for the LA Soho Home store.
- Create new and engaging event topics and formats that establish our authority as an interior design destination and elevate Soho Home’s product offering.
- Focusing on core brand pillars of: Interior design and design of the houses; product design; art and design; entertaining like Soho House
- Identify and liaise with key talent speakers and hosts. Utilising our membership network and internal Soho House talent
- Full end-to-end event production. Including all operational supplier set up and management, finance, scheduling, staffing, food and beverage, and hosting.
- Liaising with the store GM and store team across planning and delivery to ensure smooth delivery
- Partnering with local and head office communication teams to successfully promote events across Soho Home channels, local Soho House membership channels, and through talent partners. Ensuring events are promoted across our .com, social, email and SH.App
- Ensuring every experience is elevated and on brands
- Key event KPIs: Reach, newsletter sign ups, interior design service leads.
Local Communications
- Identify new partnerships and communications opportunities with the local area that help elevate and increase awareness of Soho Home.
- Including like-minded businesses, artists and Soho House members that align with our core brand pillars and messaging.
- Network and build a little black book of talent and key profiles to know in the local area relevant to the Soho Home vision.
- Proactively proposing new opportunities to the head office team, and partnering with them to drive activation. Working alongside partnerships; design; communications; press and visual merchandising.
- Hosting selected media and VIP or influencer events and appointments within the store. Be able to communicate about Soho Home products and design aesthetic with confidence to high profile and senior media profiles.
- Monthly reporting structure back to the business. Identifying new opportunities to improve.
Requirements…
- Must have previous events production experience within a luxury consumer environment
- Strong organisation skills, ability to think on your feet, and obsessive attention to detail
- Passion and knowledge of interior design preferred
- Pre existing network in the interiors/lifestyle industry
- Entrepreneurial spirit who enjoys working independently
- Ability to think on their feet to quickly resolve queries and issues.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
