Prime Video is seeking an exceptional Social Marketing Manager (SMM) to lead and build innovative global social media campaigns for major award-winning series and movies, and drive best-in-class customer experience and engagement. We are seeking an experienced and creative social strategist with a genuine passion for TV, films, music and global entertainment content. The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering results on social campaigns, with the ability to develop strategy from scratch, sell big ideas internally and externally, multi-task and prioritize, exemplify a passion for testing, learning and making insight and data-driven decisions.
The Social Marketing Manager will work across internal teams including marketing strategy, creative, synergy, events and PR, as well as partner with external social strategy and creative agencies. You will collaborate closely with the paid social team to inform and implement holistic strategies and creative for above-the-line media campaigns. You will work with key social media and digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Clubhouse, Twitch, Discord and Snapchat as well as seek out emerging platforms that can help us grow our customer base and brand. The SMM will manage multiple social campaigns simultaneously, with the ability to streamline for efficiency, while crafting thoughtful strategies to best serve unique audiences.
Success in this role requires excellent customer instincts, an ability to define strategy from scratch, excellent project management skills, an aptitude for developing insights-driven global strategies, defining customer-centric campaign goals, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content and a passion for continuous improvement. The SMM will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas and establish best practices for Prime Video.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop first-ever, cutting edge social firsts and customer experiences
- Support and execute multiple campaign key beats
- Work closely and collaboratively across brand, creative, paid social, influencer, PR and synergy teams to champion social-first ideas and execute global integrated activations, events and strategies
- Build relationships with talent and showrunners, including educating on social media
- Manage agencies and oversee campaign planning and management
- Foster global social conversation and build vibrant communities
- Facilitate global social debut coordination, minimizing the risk of leaks
- Support asset management and creative review/approvals across multiple stakeholders
- Support social listening reporting and cadence
- Support paid media custom programs and activations across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Twitter
- Support external partnerships and internal synergy teams
- Support social coverage at live events, including fan conventions, junkets and press days, stunted screenings, live premieres
- Present to senior leadership regularly on campaign plans and results
- Continuously ideate and innovate within the social space
Basic Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, social media and online content development
- Experience working in the entertainment industry including a knowledge of current trends and history
- Experience launching and/or directly managing social accounts with passionate social followers
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for social media and understanding of its business impact
- Experience in community management, journalism or content capture highly recommended for on-the-ground social coverage
- Track record of driving adoption of new ideas and concepts, and pioneering new approaches within their team or company
- Advanced decision-making skills with proven ability to drive direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams
- Creative thinker with a passion for developing and delivering big ideas for our customers
- Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
- Extreme attention to detail with relentlessly high standard
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.

- Strong analytic and quantitative skills
