The Team:
The Communications department is responsible for strategic deployment of Press & Influencer Relations, Special Events and Advertising across all media channels to support the growth of awareness for Hermès in the US. Our mission is to share the rich story of Hermès, highlighting the value of creativity, commitment to quality and signature craftmanship model. Our strategy is based on the activation of 360 media campaigns employing Paid, Owned and Earned media.
The Opportunity:
The Associate Manager, Media will work within the Media Department and Communications team in the placement, execution, trafficking, & analysis of all Paid Media campaigns across multi-media platforms as well as the ownership of maintaining the Paid, Earned, Owned media calendar, collateral and invoice management and other cross-departmental schematics.
All other duties assigned by supervisor and department head.
About the Role:
- Campaign Production
- Develop strategic display and social media briefs to effectively communicate brand messaging against a variety of KPIs
- Collaboration with US & Paris teams for support of country leads, social, digital and analytics teams for campaign launch management, Hermes.com landing page development and export sheets
- Assess agency media recommendations for alignment against overall Communications strategy and brand guidelines
- Lead external ad serving agency and media agency asset transfer and creative development testing
- Manage execution and trafficking of designated campaigns to ensure timely launch
- In-campaign reporting for weekly campaign optimization and post campaign analytics
- Place orders for and work with Paris creative agency for timely traditional print and out of home asset transfer
- Reporting and optimizations while live
- Maintenance and up-keep of creative rotations for traditional print & OOH
- Own 360 execution of paid media for store openings – social campaign, print, OOH, editorial page management, client mailings
- Own process management of artist collaboration palisade project from start to finish
- Research and seek potential new artists, aggregate proposal decks to be shared internally and with H.I. for approval
- Manage relationship between artist and H.I. to ensure approved development of design
- Liaison between artist, construction and boutique/center to prepare for installation prior to execution
- Creation and maintenance of internal communications to ensure internal teams are up-to-date on Advertising campaigns and collateral updates
- Finance/Legal
- Implementation and maintenance of store openings budget to ensure tracking of budget per store opening and event
- Oversight of processing all invoices from vendors
- Partner with Department Coordinator to confirm set-up of paperwork with vendors prior to payment or engagementWork with Media Coordinator to aggregate and track all legal documents for partners including NDAs and Folio 2s
- Oversight of wekly maintenance of invoice tracker to ensure all invoices are processed, recorded, and paid for, and to ensure that all invoice payments are staying within budget for each line
- Manage internal authorization signature process
- Own audit preparation process to ensure that Advertising department stays within brand guidelines prior to yearly audit
- Social Media Engagement
- Partner with Paris social listening team on audience response and engagement and monthly reporting
- Work cross-functionally with CDRM, Client Services and Merchandising teams to assist in community engagement responses
- Oversee intern team for management of social media platform responses
- Track weekly organic and paid Facebook comments for potential response and action
- Handle posting on U.S. owned Facebook page per campaign
- Métier Communication
- Liaise with Paris commercial and métier teams for annual and semi-annual printed collateral orders, client mailings and management of retail distribution
- Support oversight of annual budget for collateral mailing and production.
- New Media Partnership Awareness
- Proactive engagement with landscape of latest digital media platforms, new technology developers, general creative opportunities and other third parties to ensure Hermès remains at the forefront of innovation
- Partner with team to identify and share new ideas and opportunities as they develop and set bi-monthly innovation and media days
- Reporting
- Own reporting relationship with agency
- Handle revisions of reporting recap per campaign and share internally with HOP and H.I. teams
- Own internal paid media activation and recap decks for store openings and large activations

About You:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience, including hands-on internship, in similar role and/or department. Experience in Digital and Traditional media in-house or agency preferred
- Proactive, self-starter who can take initiative and work independently to deliver results.
- Creative problem-solver with strong communications skills.
- Luxury brand experience is an advantage.
- Excel, PowerPoint expertise a must.
