The Opportunity:

The VP, Influencer Strategy and Client Success is a core leadership position within Acorn organizational design and will report directly to the General Manager. The person will have deep experience and expertise across the influencer industry, proven success, and looking to build a growing team into the pinnacle of the Influencer Marketing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Leader across business pillars: influencer strategy, product development and client success teams. Subject matter expertise for influencer and social media industry, current and demonstrable.
  • Accountability for Acorn’s strategic and proactive approach within the influencer industry. Manage existing influencer network and 3rd party partners.
  • Analyze and Report KPIs for client success team: meeting and exceeding execution goals.
  • Contribute to and build a culture of collaboration and spirit of service across the organization. Foster an inclusive, equitable, and safe workplace environment for your team and all with whom they interact internally and externally.
  • Work across teams to execute Acorn mission and vision while providing thought leadership and strategy for success.
  • Articulate the competitive landscape and differentiators with SWOT analysis.
  • Own the creation of influencer contracts with a strong knowledge in Federal Trade Commission Guidelines (FTC).
  • Evolve influencer recruitment process and ways of working, leveraging expertise of platforms. Identify, define, and refine the recruitment process with ways of working.
  • Thought leader for development, innovation and execution of Acorn offering and go to market strategies.
  • Provide resources and remove obstacles in aid of and collaboration towards the head of the client success team. Bring recommendations post client business evaluation to continue the evolution of our client executions.
  • Connect and network for industry leadership to evolve product and strategic approach for Acorn influencer solutions.
  • Evaluate talent for influencer strategies and recruitment, product development and client success members.
  • Identify the best approach to working across all social platforms, inclusive of emerging opportunities. Review and evaluate platforms with ways of working for recruitment success.
  • Evaluate and Improve Dashboard ACT Portal – stay current on ongoing updates to our influencer database and tech.
  • Travel as needed (industry events, top tier client annual reviews).

What we are looking for:

  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience in Influencer Marketing and Social Media Industry preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in team leadership. Has a keen understanding of the digital media landscape.
  • Education:
    • (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related fields or equivalent prior work experience.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Skills & Knowledge - a proven track record of building and activating influencer strategy and client success teams, Excellent presentation and management expertise. Have deep understanding and experience utilizing a variety of influencer platforms. Can evaluate the gaps and opportunities to strengthen our recruitment and execution across Acorn’s influencer mission and vision. Can identify and understand client needs and understand their business goals. You have experience overseeing client success teams for influencer marketing with solid project management skills, strategic leadership, attention to detail, and a firm understanding of influencer campaign goals. Wide-range familiarity with content marketing best practices and social platform strategy.
    • Deep knowledge and understanding across all social platforms (inclusive of emerging platforms), FTC regulations and content requirements.
    • Understanding of Influencer management platforms & differentiators.
    • Ability to think creatively on your feet and take initiative to improve or create effective processes.
    • Must have experience and expertise working with Salesforce, MS Office and Google.
    • Leadership & Management – you can synthesize, maximize, and leverage cross functional leadership to the benefit of the Acorn organization. You have a passion for mentorship, coaching and developing talent and teams. Culture and accountability are in equal balance to your management style. Ability to provide strategic leadership internally across multiple business units for the ultimate good of all: employees, clients and company stakeholders. Have a strong perspective on the influencer marketing industry and feel confident to stand by your opinions while staying aligned to the mission and vision of Acorn.
  • Innovative – have a desire to learn and are energized by the influencer industry. You are active in the industry and can articulate what is trending and impacting consumer and shopper behaviors. You can elevate Acorn as the thought and industry leader through an innovative approach to ideas, strategy, product offerings, and streamlined and seamless execution.
    • Experience developing content marketing strategies and overseeing content development specifically for social media platforms.
    • Experience amplifying campaigns and content and building online marketing strategies.
  • Network & Connections – you have an industry presence and are relationship driven to help power our influencer strategy in a rapidly changing space.
    • Strong industry contacts (agents, managers, publicists, and attorneys, etc.).
    • Strong relationships with influencers and celebrity representatives.
    • Experience identifying and securing Influencers (Digital & Social) across industry for CPG brand campaigns and other verticals.
  • Communication & Collaboration – work positively and proactively across Acorn teams to shape our influencer strategies presentation and drive business growth. Effective communication with colleagues to ensure successful teamwork and creative collaboration. Able to articulate the mission and vision of Acorn across stakeholders. This role will work with multiple teams to achieve goals.
    • High level of initiative and proven ability to activate multiple teams across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communications skills. Excellent work ethic with the ability to deliver quality recommendations. Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Presenter – you are an enthusiastic, authentic and creative storyteller with a deep understanding of influencer strategies across multiple KPIs – from thought leadership for business strategy to presenting to senior clients and agencies. You will work collaboratively with Acorn teams: Sales and Business Strategy, Business Insights & Analytics, Media and Operations to inform our differentiators, shaping our value proposition and the narrative of our differentiators. You will provide thoughtful and discerning recommendations to the Client Success and Influencer Strategy & Product team members and cross functional internal teams, contributing to the business strategies and reviews for clients (QBRs and Annual).
  • Analytical - Comprehensive understanding of influencer data, benchmarks, and success metrics across multiple platforms and verticals. You have deep experience in paid and organic social media.
    • Robust understanding of influencer, social media, digital analytics, and reporting.
  • Professionalism – Rigorous attention to detail, well organized, project-manage, multi-task, and timeline oriented. Understanding and effective use of critical business systems, research, and insight tools, with a POV on the social landscape.
    • Excellent client, team, and project management skills. Must be extremely detail-oriented, timeline sensitive, strategy driven and oriented for talent development.
    • Passion for Influencer Marketing as well as Social Media/Digital industries.
    • Capable problem solver and strong decision-making abilities.
