Title: Senior Social Media Manager

Reports to: Creative Director

Supervises: Associate Social Media Manager

Overview

The senior social media manager will lead the strategy, planning and execution of Nuuly Rent and Nuuly Thrift brand content across all social media platforms. Under the direction of the creative director, they will refine our social media approach on existing platforms and define it in new ones, with the ultimate goals of creating best-in-class content and growing our community.

They will work closely with the creative and studio teams, as well as with partners in influencer relations, paid marketing, PR/partnerships and CRM to drive brand awareness and support growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, planning and execution of Nuuly Thrift brand content.
  • Generate new content ideas that align with and expand on the brand's mission and narrative.
  • Guide curation of user-generated content.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars for all social channels.
  • Partner with influencer and growth marketing to identify and surface creators and influencers that align with the Nuuly brand and brand values.
  • Partner with internal creative teams to concept, brief and create content.
  • Refine community management strategy and guidelines, including customer care.
  • Provide reporting, while understanding analytics are a helpful tool to inform, not a playbook.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports.

Qualifications

  • A creative, independent thinker who is ahead of trends.
  • Expert in the social media space, with a fluency in the ins and outs of major social media platforms.
  • Deep understanding of storytelling, an eye for visual curation and strong editorial judgment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in developing, maintaining and executing complex editorial and content calendars.
  • Expertise in writing compelling creative briefs for both internal partners and external creators that result in engaging, differentiated content.
  • Experience working with and collaborating and giving feedback to creative teams.
  • Experience with social listening and project management platforms.
  • 8 years of experience in social media marketing with at least 3 years of experience managing and growing a team.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
