ABOUT THE POSITION

prAna is seeking a Social Media and Partner Marketing Manager to develop and direct the overall strategy, planning, management and execution of social and content across all social media channels. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things social, does not shy away from working at every level to get things done, and has proven success driving social strategy by tracking engagement, views, growth, and algorithms. This position reports to the Brand Marketing Director and works closely with the Creative, Marketing, Product teams as well as prAna partner programs to ensure all social content connects storytelling, commerce and brand.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Social Media Content

  • Create and drive a social strategy for the brand.
  • Curates, schedules and posts channel specific, engaging content across multiple channels, focusing primarily on Instagram & Facebook (for now).
  • Tracks and reports on content engagement, highlight hits and misses to inform future content strategies.
  • Facilitates asset trafficking across conception, production, delivery, approval, and distribution.
  • Maintains content calendar & plans proactively in time for bi-weekly creative review.
  • Stays current with news and our communities to identify and recommend content ideas.
  • Researches and identifies opportunities to leverage new platform tools that drive engagement and website traffic.
  • Keeps finger on the pulse of social media including platform updates, emerging trends, and relevant consumer and behavioral insights. Share these insights montly with broader team.
  • Responds to post comments, audience inquiries and direct messages in a timely manner, partnering with Customer Service to ensure high-priority needs are met and service levels are maintained.
  • Ensures custom, trackable links for owned and earned social content included in all posts.

Partnership Coordination

  • Acts as main point of contact for the prAna partner programs including Adventurers, Influencers and Ambassadors.
  • Sources and cultivates Adventurer and Influencer relationships in alignment with the brand’s purpose buiding a user-generated content arsenal focused on increasing brand awareness.
  • Ensures all partners are delivering on agreements, curating content and connecting to key social accounts in a timely manner.
  • Share content with cross-functional teams where relevant, ensuring compliance with usage rights based on pre-set agreements.
  • Tracks and reports on engagement metrics across influencer content.
  • Brings new activation ideas to the planning process.
  • Coordinates Influencer and Adventurer campaigns through product ordering, content review, and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with social media content creation and moderation is required, preferably within the sports/apparel industry
  • Experience using social media management tools (like Sprout Social or others).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of Outdoor Industry and specifically Yoga, Climbing, Hiking and Surfing/SUP communities preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge and business proficiency with multiple social media channels
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop/Illustrator highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Digitally-savvy: Stays up-to-date with digital technology and social media trends
  • Understanding of sustainable apparel practices is helpful but not required
