We are looking for a dedicated Lead to join the Artist & Industry Partnerships team in the US. In this role, you will develop and oversee strategic relationships with US Artist & Industry Organizations, in addition to driving partnerships that enable scaled outreach & education with artists and their teams.

Qualified candidates should have significant music industry experience in an artist and partner facing role, and will work cross functionally with internal teams to ensure there is strategic alignment to optimize opportunities to the benefit of Spotify and its partners.

What you'll do

  • Represent Spotify at a senior level to US artist & industry organizations, supervising team account management, business updates, and pre-briefs on Spotify launches and initiatives.
  • Represent US artist & industry organizations back into Spotify, gathering feedback and trends, and reporting insights to XFN leads on a regular basis.
  • Identify, develop and drive new and innovative partnership opportunities that enable scaled outreach and education with artists and their teams.
  • Prioritize and determine budget allocation for partnership opportunities
  • Work cross functionally with Leads from Music, Content, Music Mission, Social Impact, Government Affairs, and Comms to ensure there is strategic alignment, scope to optimize relationships and to accelerate Spotify’s opportunities with partners
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team building a collaborative culture that combines creativity with data-driven decision making
  • Identify market business challenges and drive solutions
  • Identify strategic event opportunities, and oversee with attention to detail as well as financial & time constraints.
  • Attend events, conferences, and shows - as needed. Some travel will be required
  • You will work out of our New York City office.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of related career experience in an artist and partner facing role, a strong understanding of the US music industry, and an excellent reputation amongst your network of artist, manager, rights holder and industry organization contacts
  • You are a strong leader and influencer who is able to encourage others around you and communicate your vision to empower your co-workers.
  • Significant experience handling a diverse team and having a track record in successful agile/change management
  • You can work with a range of cross-functional teams across a large distributed global music and technology organization
  • You have excellent budgeting, planning and project management skills to prioritize and manage workload to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication, negotiation and people skills
  • You’re a strategic and creative thinker who can proactively problem solve.
  • Fluency in English. Additional languages are a bonus.
