Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead and manage the JOHN REED Fitness (United States) channels. In this role, you will report to the Head of Marketing, JOHN REED North America, and drive the social content strategy, develop organic social campaigns, plan and manage editorial calendars, manage day-to-day social media activities, and play an integral part of bringing our mission and vision to life on social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Strategy: Develop and continuously evolve social media strategy with a focus on brand awareness and growing our channels on Instagram and Facebook
- Content Creation: Plan, source, and create new creative assets in collaboration with our marketing, influencer, and creative team for daily content, organic social campaigns, and influencer collaborations
- Content Planning: Lead content strategy and execution across all platforms for JOHN REED Fitness US social channels
- Campaign Development: Ideate, develop and execute unique and engaging social media campaigns (i.e., giveaways, influencer collabs, etc.,)
- Community Management: Respond to messages/comments, engage with our audience, and create a positive online brand experience
- TikTok: Create and develop a brand TikTok strategy, and bring the vision to life
- Content Capturing: Capture and create onsite content at events for stories, reels, etc., Must be comfortable with on the fly posting and editing
- Influencer Content: Collaborate closely with influencer relations team to develop content, campaigns and programs with influencer partners
- Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and optimize social media audience and performance based on KPIs, established benchmarks, and trends
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the entire JOHN REED team and internal stakeholders from creative, marketing, PR, influencers, events, and club teams to ensure brand cohesion across all channels
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a social media and/or marketing-related role for a consumer brand or agency
- Strong interest and familiarity with fitness and lifestyle industries. Experience working on fitness, music, and/or lifestyle brands is a major plus
- Creative mind with proven track record creating compelling social media campaigns and content
- Experience with all major social media platforms, in addition to analytics and scheduling tools such as Later, Google Analytics, etc.,
- Highly organized and proactive, always looking for ways to push our brands forward on our social media platforms
- Strong empathy and understanding of the customer, solving their problems, adding value, reducing friction, and streamlining digital media experiences
- Strong interest in emerging social media platforms and social tech trends
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
