This role will report full-time ON-SITE at our West Hollywood Office.
The Role:
Moonbug is seeking an experienced public relations professional with vast communications experience in the North American region. This newly created position will play a central role in developing Moonbug’s brand and reputation across its biggest market. We want someone with passion and experience in building and protecting brands with external stakeholders and audiences, as well as in driving awareness and affinity for exciting and growing franchise properties.
You will have proven experience in developing communications strategies that deliver measurable results. You will be skilled in communications strategy, across corporate, trade and consumer PR, copywriting, on and offline events, influencer relations strategy, media relations and stakeholder engagement.
Reporting to the VP, Brand & Communications, this is a key role in building and establishing the voice and brand of Moonbug.
Responsibilities:
- Corporate and consumer PR: build and execute a highly successful and comprehensive external comms programme to drive positive awareness of Moonbug and its franchise brands through corporate comms, consumer PR campaigns, publicity events, speaking engagements, awards, influencer relations (in collaboration with social media team), etc.
- Trade PR: support audience-facing business divisions to deliver b-2-b PR programmes that support their strategic objectives, leveraging thought leadership and expert commentary from the business.
- Management and development of the Moonbug narrative and communications programs externally and internally.
- Executive comms: be a key business partner to the leadership team, providing counsel, guidance and advice to ensure business decisions and external communications reinforce brand tone of voice and key messaging.
- Internal comms: drive effective employee communication.
- Copywriting: Lead and assist with the editing and production of key press material such as press releases, thought leadership pieces, scripts, presentations, etc.
- Responsible for reputational issues management across the region.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and delivering strategic communications projects across corporate, consumer and digital communications
- Experience in partnering with C-Suite executives and/or founders in a high growth environment
- Expert in communications, media and influencer relations
- Understanding of the media landscape, particularly across the North American region
- Strong knowledge of digital, technology, entertainment / media industries
- Ability to communicate complex ideas concisely and accurately in a compelling way for multiple target audiences across a range of channels

- Passion and/or experience working for an entertainment company, ideally within the kids space
