Job Overview
This role within the Marketing Department contributes to the growth and evolution of each social media platform through best-in-class content and storytelling around Callaway’s products and services. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible, under the direction of the department leader, for executing a leading, cutting-edge social media strategy. This individual develops specific methods to nurture the company’s audience of millions across each platform, and deploy campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. This position will work closely with Callaway’s global marketing teams. The role requires a commitment to the group’s dynamic and fast-paced marketing model.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Be passionately in tune with the latest social media developments, platform behavior and data trends
- Help refine and involve the company’s social media strategy for each platform
- Bring a journalistic and editorial approach to content marketing. Critical to success is the ability to translate technical information into benefit-oriented and entertaining stories/creative that generates excitement for Callaway’s products.
- Influencer Outreach - Identify and communicate with online influencers present in various social media outlets
- With limited oversight, the candidate is able to support social media projects through the creative process, leveraging insights, gathering feedback and pushing innovative ideas.
- Work with internal teams to create compelling campaigns to drive awareness, demand and conversion across all key brands and constituents
- Research and propose new opportunities for social media marketing and advertising campaigns
- Stay current with social media trends and incorporate as appropriate to improve the customer experience, drive sales and leverage ongoing customer involvement
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Passion for social media and the internet.
- Intimate knowledge of golf and a passion for the game
- Preferred is some experience evangelizing on behalf of a large organization, brand or products
- Extreme familiarity with the social media landscape, best practices, measurement and campaigns
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop) and additional video editing software
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and self-manage in a fast-pasted and creative environment
- Familiar with DSLR and experience filming content. Innovative, detail oriented and organized
- Confident and quick learner
- Proactive approach
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
- Minimum 2 years of Internet marketing related experience
