Job Title: VP of Brand & Wholesale Marketing

Reports to: President/CEO

FLSA Status: Full-time; Exempt

Purpose: The VP of Brand & Wholesale Marketing is a proven and respected leader with a successful track record for creating long-term creative strategies. This position is a key influencer and leader within the company, one that will create a clear vision and utilize well-defined, concise communication to gain alignment and carry out that vision. This position will also play a significant role on the senior leadership team, helping shape company’s strategic long-term goals and driving ROI and revenue. The VP of Brand & Wholesale Marketing will call on their experience, branding expertise, and the latest, ever-changing industry trends to build the Peepers brand into a powerhouse within the eyewear industry.

This is a remote position reporting to headquarters in Michigan City, Indiana

Duties & Responsibilities:

Management and Market Research

  • Compile and present meaningful market research that will drive strategic business decisions including customer, brand, and product initiatives.
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results/ROIs, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the team.
  • Creation and management of annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations.
  • Identify and forecast marketing hiring needs to support continued growth.

Go To Market:

  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, effectively positioning our brand against competitors.
  • Build creative briefs, marketing plans, and other guiding documents that set the clear goals and objectives for each seasonal launch.
  • Lead and deliver high quality photo shoots and catalog creation.
  • Create a library of approved assets and presentations for use by the company.

Branding

  • Drive the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives, setting the voice and tone for the company while ensuring brand consistency and clear messaging across all channels.
  • Create content and assets for the target consumer that follow the defined brand archetype.
  • Photoshoot creative direction and production.

Wholesale and Tradeshow Marketing

  • Development and oversight of product displays and point of purchase materials.
  • Provide strategic and creative direction for all fixturing and displays, sales tools and presentations, packaging, catalog creation and production.
  • Ensure all showrooms remain up to date and on trend, providing current and prospective retailers with an on-brand shopping experience.
  • Manage relationship with exhibit partner and oversee all tradeshow booth concepts and showroom updates from ideation to completion.
  • Identify potential new tradeshows for brand exposure and new door growth.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 10 years’ Marketing management experience within consumer product soft lines industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing campaigns with attractive ROI.
  • Retail marketing background with focus on luxury fashion preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to make difficult decisions
  • Proven experience in developing comprehensive brand strategy and executing in timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • A solid understanding of the sales process and market channels, including trends, technologies used, and market players.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, high attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills and a high degree of initiative.
  • Executive level oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven commitment to build and foster relationships.
