Senior Director of Transformation

Yahoo is looking for an experienced and capable leader - Senior Director of Transformation - who will significantly improve the chances of a successful transformation. The role will be reporting directly to the CFO and take on a hybrid role of Transformation and Chief of Staff responsibilities.

What You'll Do

  • Be a strategic business partner, able to think through transformation opportunities with linkage to growth strategies across the organization and effectively lead and PMO execution.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and changing work environments, effective integrations and separation management. In addition to evaluating stranded costs and opportunities to achieve post M&A efficiencies.
  • Strike the right balance between short-term improvement and long-term value
  • Be experienced with complex processes with discrete initiatives, orchestrating complex processes involving close collaboration and partnership across multiple functions across the business.
  • Serve as the face of transformation, setting the tone with enthusiasm and determination
  • Provide effective governance across change management which would include: providing a list of key milestones incorporating key coordination and communications.
  • Provide central coordination/unified messaging and tracking of milestone progress.
  • Assist in Labor planning and management - providing input on detailed segment view of labor (incl. Mix, attrition, geography and leveling), insights on compensation and integrated contract review
  • Provide support to the CFO on projects and tasks that help drive operational and strategic excellence
  • Drive large scale business-critical initiatives, particularly those that span multiple teams
  • Manage projects ranging from strategic planning to operational process design, organizational design and implementation, to Board-level projects and presentations
  • Collaborate with finance leaders and key stakeholders across business units
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and reports on behalf of the CFO
  • Execute against time-sensitive requests from senior leaders and cross-functional business partners

What You Bring

  • Professional foundation in a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in-house corporate development or strategy team
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience within Digital Media, Content and/or Tech industry
  • Proven track record of driving cost improvement initiatives across multi-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean organization amidst a shifting competitive landscape
  • Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple work streams without sacrificing quality.
  • Demonstrated track record as a trusted thought partner in an organization, with ability to turn information into effective strategies and executable plans
  • Strong influencer skills amongst key stakeholders resulting in demonstrable business impacts
  • Sound business acumen and strategic skills with an obvious operational bent; ability to quickly grasp complex business strategies and identify downstream implications
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capability bolstered by exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to apply out of the box thinking and discipline of process to a large-scale matrixed organization in a period of transformation
  • An owner’s mentality, vision, and ability to work cross-functionally to ensure its delivery and success
  • A humble leader who can listen and learn as much as they can to articulate a vision and lead through to execution
  • Action-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering quick wins and driving growth while refining and translating a long-term vision
  • Value in building trusting relationships with a range of leaders, teams, and stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $156,000.00 - $260,000.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
