The Hulu Branded Entertainment team is seeking a Director of Creative Strategy who will help oversee branded content solutions for the Hulu platform with a primary focus on our advertising campaigns with brand partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement Hulu’s overarching branded entertainment creative strategy for a range of innovative new advertising solutions on the service, while building an approach anchored in Hulu and Disney Streaming’s broader storytelling strategy and business objectives
- Help develop advertising partnership strategies that introduce long-form branded content for the Hulu service
- Help oversee the RFP pipeline for Hulu-centric opportunities, leading the pre-sale process in partnership with creative team to conceptualize, write, and manage integrated marketing proposals for Hulu Originals and marketing tent poles
- Craft viewer first, human-insight led creative strategies for cross-portfolio custom brand solutions, serving as primary liaison with sister Disney networks
- Work closely with colleagues across Hulu Marketing, Disney Streaming and Ad Sales to re-define boundaries in co-marketing, provide transparency around execution and identify opportunities for larger inclusion across the Hulu & Disney Streaming businesses
- Develop non-disruptive advertising franchises and products in partnership with Disney Ad Product team
- Collaborate closely with Audience Research and Consumer Marketing Insights teams to glean new information that can inform branded offerings
- Provide strategic and creative recommendations, based on experience, data, marketing and communications best practices, to solve complex marketing narratives and creative challenges through advertising solutions
Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years of experience in marketing strategy, entertainment marketing, or brand management. Entertainment experience a plus and advertising agency experience is a must.
- Deep experience translating data and research into human insights and creative briefs
- A track record of success building high-impact, strategic relationships with brand partners
- Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing programs
- Strategy lead for media ranging from :30 second commercials, digital and social to long-form branded content experiences
- Experience in brand activations including custom content, retail and product/merchandise collaborations across digital marketing, influencer, experiential marketing, PR and owned channels
- People leadership experience, past experience leading cross-functional teams a plus
- Strong knowledge of industry trends in the evolving business environment and the data and metrics needed to demonstrate campaign success
- Track record of consistently measuring important metrics and KPIs against broader business objectives
- Strong time management skills, organization skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Loves TV and film & obsessed with all things pop culture
