Job Description Summary

The Marketing Specialist will assist the marketing team with all brand marketing planning and execution and interact regularly with internal departments to coordinate brand integration and execution of all programs.

In addition, this role will keep track of cross-functional meeting minutes and timelines and help move projects forward and on time.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Research the cosmetics competitive landscape: brand communication & positioning, product assortments & claims, and price positioning.
  • Plan and execute PR, Influencer MUA mailers, and product sampling programs.
  • Gather monthly performance recaps from external and internal agencies/teams.
  • Build an internal grassroots influencers list for organic brand outreach.
  • Select/recommend new influencer partners and brand collaborations.
  • Help with the weekly social captions writing process for IG & TikTok and identifying trending phrases/words that we can incorporate while learning to stay within our brand tone.
  • Audit Amazon pages monthly – own brand and competition to ensure content is accurately displayed and competitively optimized.
  • Perform store checks quarterly
  • Participate in all team meetings and provides category and brand recommendations for brand planning and marketing support activities.
  • Interact regularly with internal departments to coordinate brand integration and execution of all programs.
  • Keep track of cross-functional meeting minutes and timelines and helps move projects forward and on time.
  • Report to the Marketing Manager

Knowledge/experience, Skills, Ability & Attitude Required

  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, collaborative, have a positive attitude, strong computer skills, a self-starter, be well organized and possess good interpersonal skills. Should have an interest in a marketing/brand management career path.
  • Business major required; Marketing and Communication preferred.
  • 1-3 years of brand marketing experience - consumer packaged goods background or mass market beauty brand experience preferred; ideally on the brand side.
  • Social & digital media experience and knowledge (especially TikTok). Bonus: be comfortable creating and posting videos.
  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented
  • Outstanding computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
