Content Operations Specialist

This role is critical to our monthly content coordination process and content team’s project management.This position’s key function is to ensure that content execution is flawless and the deliverables are accurate and timely. This position sits at the core of the content media team and serves as a conduit for information. The person in this position is a key resource for accurate information on all products, promotions and projects for Sally Beauty and CosmoProf brands.
Responsibilities
Monthly Content Coordination / Project Management
- Support content development across all communication channels through product understanding, consumer shopping behavior, and trend insights
- Understand social, e-commerce, digital, and CRM channels to build stories that will drive conversion and generate traffic, supporting key brand priorities
- Stay in-tune with SEM/SEO teams to build messaging relevant to shopping trends
- Provide editorial and copywriting support for content storylines and editorial calendar
- Help build educational curriculum to support DIY education in hair color, care and nails
- Assist the team with the creation and distribution of digital content across media channels
- Work with Sr. Manager of Content Strategy and Operations as a liaison between multiple cross-functional groups (content strategy, influencer/PR, social media, paid social/media, category team, field marketing, merchandising team, CRM, e-commerce, and CoE) to lead monthly content.
- Responsible for project management for omnichannel content.
- Maintain and update content and production calendars based on changes and updates from the organization, as well as our team’s timelines, process documents, and more.
- Responsible for contributing to content briefs, production, distribution, and trafficking workflow of monthly content
- Collaborate and coordinate with in-house CoE on end-to-end production of content, including visual assets (photography, video, and curation) and copy-writing.
- Lead creative proofing/fact-checking and communicate feedback on behalf of our channel partners to the CoE.
- Traffic completed content to the paid and organic teams.
- Work with Sr. Manager of Strategy and Operations to support key projects/initiatives, such as our DIY University education program.
Reporting
- Work with channel owners to report content performance on a weekly, quarterly, and by-campaign basis.
- Deliver insights on industry/competitive news.
- Set up monthly cadence of insights share out meetings with all cross-functional partners
Administrative
- Set up monthly meetings as it pertains the content planning process.
- Administrative duties for special projects assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with editorial content writing, e-commerce content development
- Understand SEM/SEO
- Understand digital media and strategies to improve conversion rate
- Beauty industry experience is a plus
- Copywriting experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite
- BA/BS required
- Self-starter, assertive, go-getter with high energy and desire to drive the business
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- Flexible to a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Resourceful in solving problems
- Excellent people skills and an upbeat, enthusiastic attitude
