Content Strategist (Remote)
We’re seeking a full-time content marketer with a passion for developing content strategies and creating content that draws the reader in and compels them to take action. This role requires high levels of creativity, a love for writing, attention to detail, and superior project management skills.
We’re looking for someone who gets excited about dreaming up creative campaign ideas, and is an expert in understanding how all kinds of initiatives can be integrated within a comprehensive marketing plan. They should have experience recommending and implementing tactics that can be used to build audiences, drive engagement and meet broader business goals – and are comfortable experimenting to figure out what really moves the needle.
The role will include creating, editing and advising on blog posts, bylined articles, executive thought leadership, news releases, long- and short-form social copy, presentations, influencer programs, virtual events and more for internal agency initiatives as well as our clients, which are a mix of industry-leading B2B and B2C tech brands.
Our ideal candidate is a highly responsible and client-minded content manager who thrives on driving programs forward, making recommendations to clients, and working with other team members to make it all happen. They will have a proven track record of successfully producing and implementing a content marketing strategy in support of brand-building, thought leadership and demand generation goals. They’ll be comfortable translating sometimes more technical concepts into layman's terms, yet also be able to write technically.
Experience working as an editor is a plus, same with journalistic reporting skills – someone who is curious and creative, with a thorough understanding of using experimentation and data to determine which content and approach works best on each medium. Previous experience working in startups and/or as part of an integrated marketing team is helpful, with a strong understanding of and interest in taking an active role in integrated communications strategies, including but not limited to social media marketing, influencer/developer/blogger relations, executive communications, and public relations.
This role sits within our content & community team, reporting to our VP of social media, and the person to fill it will function as both a client manager and our resident content expert. We’re seeking someone who has experience leading internal or external cross-functional teams, and is also comfortable working as an individual contributor who can identify the right resources to complete a project.
If this describes you, we’d love to chat about how your work has helped drive brand awareness, audience growth, engagement and ROI for the brands you’ve worked for/with, and how you align to our core values of mastery, integrity, curiosity, courage and partnership!
