JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Social Media, Community and Influencers has a passion for building brand’s voice and thrives at storytelling that is amplified efficiently. He/she will oversee the strategy and campaigns across all Social Channels, Influencers, Stylists and Community Management with the goal to elevate our brand image, and impact our DTC, retailers, and business partners’ sales. This role will lead and help build our community of brand advocates – clients, influencers, and stylist influencers. He/she will help develop a distinct brand voice that builds & engages with stories that are inclusive, authentic & timely. He/she will also be a direct business contributor by driving sales and creating strategists for our omnichannel network.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Own and manage IGK Hair's social and influencer strategy, budget, calendar, and execution of plans. Ability to think big and execute effectively.

· Develop real-time storytelling, capitalize on moments in culture to drive attention to IGK Hair.

· Lead our social media strategy to elevate our brand image and support our DTC business and our retail/digital partners – innovate through differentiated content for each social platform, use analytics to support choices.

· Be at the forefront of social trends, of channels capabilities and develop an on-going work relationship with the corporate teams of the main social channels

· Bring education to life through social, develop an active collaboration with our Founders, with the Stylists from the IGK Salons, and with the IGK Director of Education

· Develop a full circle strategy to lead community and consumer engagement across all platforms

· Build a new generation of authentic and passionate brand ambassadors for IGK, including stylists, IGK stylists, and consumer influencers passionate by haircare (organic and paid)

· Extend strategic and tactical partnerships to help shape the modern and edgy image of IGK Hair, activate through social and build a 360 approach behind these partnerships.

· Be budget conscious and analytical to demonstrate effectiveness of spent.

· Rally cross-functional partners from Brand Management, Creative, Retail, Digital and DTC around a common vision to ensure thoughtful and strategic activation of ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree required, an MBA is a plus

· 10+ years of experience in brand communication with a sophisticated understanding of social channels along with earned and paid tactics

· Proven record of building consumer brands in social and earned media

· A deep empathy for consumers and strong interest in fashion, culture and trends.

· Experience in beauty required, experience in haircare is a plus

· Experience building, leading, and managing a team of direct reports, with the ability to drive multiple projects at once.

· Highly collaborative, with an ability to work well in a cross-functional team

· Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude

· Problem solving and entrepreneurial in nature

· Move quickly and feel comfortable having autonomy to lead projects

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Sitting: Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout workday.
