About the Role
As our social media manager, you will be creating and growing a strong, innovative and viral online presence on social media, primarily focusing on TikTok and Instagram. You will be overseeing and managing our social media accounts, building and maintaining relationships with influencers and content creators, as well as working on overall social strategy to create content people love and harbor a community of consumers. You will also be responsible for brainstorming and creating email campaigns in coordination with our design/creative team.
Responsibilities
- Organically grow and engage followers across all platforms
- Write exceptional copy for social media posts, emails, etc.
- Create buzz and ramp up excitement around collection launches
- Offer new strategies, content ideas and concepts during pitch meetings
- Create creative email campaigns, including copywriting, along with our design team
- Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers, content creators, and thought leaders
- Plan the monthly content calendar across key social channels and produce a weekly/monthly content schedule that aligns with the website, email campaigns, product pushes and events
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
- Brainstorm new, creative approaches to influencer and social media campaigns
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies in social media
- Create and curate engaging content from concept to completion
- Build organic community engagement through likes and thoughtful commentary; Engage followers on all platforms, including incoming DM’s
- Optimize platforms with best practice applications, i.e.: handles, tagging, hashtags, etc.
- Analyze performance of social content on a weekly basis and use this to constantly evolve the calendar moving forward; Develop weekly and monthly reporting to be shared cross-functionally
- Be the eyes and ears for the team on what's trending on social media; Take a broader POV beyond just fashion as to what are the relevant topics of conversation we should engage in with customers/community
- Capture photo/video content with the forward thinking for use across multiple Social Media platforms
- Share feedback and insights from our community that can inform our overall product, marketing and customer engagement strategies
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to craft a social media presence that is personable, professional and authentic; Adapt the language and content to each social media platform
- Must have strong proficiency and understanding of major social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Discord.
- Work experience with Klaviyo and Adobe Suite, a plus
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Creative, innovative and strategic thinker
- Intuition for the type of content that engages on Instagram and social channels. You understand what's going to make our audience engage, while upholding the aesthetic of the KICKEE brand.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Maintain all Social Media related Google Sheets, Docs, etc.
- Experience in managing and growing a social media following, as well as knowing which trends, brands and creators are producing the most innovative content
- Content creation experience with photography and video for the purpose of Social Media
- Strong desire to build and foster an online community on social media
- You bring humor, humility, and kindness to your work
Recommended Background
- Previous experience in marketing, social media, sales and customer service
- Knowledgeable in social media KPIs, ideally with a track record of building social media accounts and presences
- Ability to multitask/great time management
- Exceptional at communication and relationship building in various tones
- Deep understanding of social media trends
- Experience with influencer/creator management and relationship building
- Exceptional creative writing skills
