This role will report full-time ON-SITE at our West Hollywood Office.

The Role:

We are looking for a Creative Executive who is passionate about telling engaging and enriching stories for children across multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will have overseen creative projects from inception through production for digital platforms. He/she will have experience working across content formats in both short-form and long-form, for narrative and music-based shows. He/she is a creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, and has managed creative and production teams. This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity and significant initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee shows from a creative perspective all the way from development to production through to final delivery, for YouTube and premium platforms
• Ideate on show ideas based on Moonbug IP
• Identify and assign creative talent to develop and produce content
• Review and provide notes on scripts, animatics, music recordings, animation and all other steps in the creative process.
• Ideate and creatively strategize branded content from development to production with major global brands
• Work closely with Moonbug departments (Production, Commercial, Distribution, Channel Operations) to ensure creative development is aligned with company goals and objectives
• Ensure the highest quality in the execution of all videos, while being aligned with the brand's vision, guidelines and objectives.
• Manage a team of writers, creatives, musicians, artists and coordinators to ensure that ideas are being executed according to the overall creative strategy.
• Work closely with the Production team to ensure on-time deliveries with the highest level of quality
• Maintain flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned
  

Requirements

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in Children’s Entertainment, Scripted Series and/or Studio/Production experience required
• Degree in Communications, Creative Writing or Film Studies is preferred but not required
• Passionate and knowledgeable about high-quality children’s entertainment
• Successfully overseen creative development and production of children’s shows for both digital and traditional platforms
• Broad network of writers, artists and agency contacts in the children’s space
• Experience working across live action and animation, narrative and music-based shows
• Solid grasp of film-making language and technique
• Strong understanding of character and story in brand building
• Ability to interpret data and insights and leverage them in the creative process
• Good judgment and strong critical thinking skills
• Proven communication skills; articulate and professional both in written and verbal form
• Ability to work proactively and independently under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
• High level of organization and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines
• Highly collaborative, resourceful, curious with great calm and a good sense of humor
